Nice Staff--no its not a planet fitness--but as always , staff and space limited in Hamptons. They added a nice back room, its much better.

The majority of the negative reviews about this place are how expensive it is.Let me start by saying yes it is extremely expensive. a one day pass is $50, a week pass is $130.But here’s the thing-this is the only gym in Sag Harbor so there’s no competition, And people living here don’t really care about paying these amounts to enter a mediocre gym.So putting the cost aside, I think this gym has a lot to improve. You should know that upon signing up whether it’s for a weekly pass or an annual, even if you’re paying by cash, they require a credit card to be kept on their computers for some reason. If you’re only in the Hamptons during certain months of the year and want to freeze your membership for when you come back, it is possible but it would cost you $10 a month until you restore the membership. The majority of the equipment at this gym is old/falling apart/rusty or broken. And almost every machine is from a different company which may sound like nitpicking, but it really doesn’t look good. The AC is never working well- during the summertime it’s never less than 75 Fahrenheit and in the winter, the AC struggles to keep 65 Fahrenheit. The men’s bathroom always smells bad with dirty floors and no soap in the dispensary. The water fountains filter indicating red for forever with no one replacing it.There’s a vending machine with protein shakes and energy drinks, but for the cost of one protein shake, you could get a month membership at planet fitness gym for example. Just for comparison.Putting all that aside, the one thing that upset me the most, and made me write this review is one of the workers working at the front desk.I wish I knew her name but she’s a young white/Middle Eastern female that works there about twice a week. The other day when I came to the gym, I noticed she’s wearing a Palestinian scarf. All politics aside, no matter what you think about the situation, wearing political symbols in a public gym as an employee is highly unprofessional in my opinion.A public mediocre Gym with a premium price should know better about respecting the public and leaving the workout environment and the community a place to do just that, working out, and building yourself, in a safe environment.

Visited on a one day pass in mid October 2023. Great gym, lots of equipment. Great sauna!! (They let you pour water on the rocks!). All areas absolutely spotless…men’s room extremely clean! Plenty of parking.

Obnoxiously over priced gym. I’m from the area… The equipment is old and dated… They refuse to add or update or fix… They let groups of children in to disturb your work out… They hang out in there like an extra curricular activity after school.

Gym is ok. Prices are through the roof though. Paid 40$ per person for a day pass, wich is fine if a gym offers special services like sauna etc. imo, but the bathrooms weren’t even clean.Anyway. The gym has squat racks, worn out Rogue barbells, some cool plate loaded machines and a place to get filtered water. Wifi was also working

Does the job and then some. Great place. Keep it up HGC, and we'll keep coming. You're a boost to the local fitness community.

I can't really fault this gym. Great size. Lots of equipment. Didn't have to wait/ queue for anything the x5 visits I went (early April). I didn't train at peak time though. It was clean, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. It cost me $150 for a five-use pass, which at $30 per visit, is what I'd expect to pay in a gym in London (where I live). This rate was 'attached' to an existing member, so I am not sure what the visitor's pass cost is if you're not with an existing member.

One star is too many for this gym. It is dirty! The equipment is always dirty....people don't wipe it down after use. It is crowded with too much equipment. Bikes, treadmills, stair steppers, etc are all too close together! I can't believe that the owner does not take care of this place. It is in "The Hamptons" .........we do not expect this sort of place in Sag Harbor! And they have the nerve to charge alot!

Very dirty! The place needs a good cleaning along with equipment repairs. How embarassing to have such a crappy gym in such an esclusive beautiful area! Shame on the owner! So over priced! Clean up your business!!!!

both these gyms are poorly run, the steam room in South Hampton has been broken for almost 2 years.. when you ask the staff what's going on, they never have one definitive answer. You can tell the moral of this gym is low. it seems like they may be struggling financially. I'm constantly picking up water bottles, throwing towels into the bin, I shouldn't be doing this as a member. soap dispensers are always empty in the showers. I really wish someone would come along and invest in this gym. I'm sure the members would have no problem paying extra. I'm sure I speak for a lot of the members here. Hopefully this gets someone's attention!!!

I'm sharing this because i wanna make sure if people read this, learn from my story! If you canceling your membership don't listen to staff you all good.make sure you write email to management because you will be charged next billing cycle if you don't cancel over the email and have no proof . Well not end of the world i just wish they had better trained staff that would inform me of this.

$40 daily rate? Not even to work out in the NY Jets gym. Sad and feeble greed.

Just moved into the area and went to sign up today. The lady at the front desk was unbelievably rude and $40 for a day pass? I couldn't even get a tour. If I could give this gym less than zero stars I would.
