Sag harbor vet is very welcoming and kind. I have and do take my dog there to get his check ups and vaccines. They always explain what there doing and why to you. (Toby) my dog is very nervous in new surroundings. But the vet was giving him pets before examinating him making Toby feel comfortable. The staff is very nice!!

I rarely ever give reviews but when I do they’re typically positive. Sadly, I just had the worst experience at Sag Harbor Vet. I’m a brand new customer with an 8 week old puppy. I was rudely greeted, then told I was too early and had to wait 30 minutes, and the woman at the front desk has such terrible bedside / reception manner that I was taken aback and appalled at how this could be the way they greet and treat a new customer. She also told me if I couldn’t wait, she would consider it a cancellation and charge me $50. My entire afternoon was thrown out of whack with the puppy and they also charged an arm and a leg for an initial exam/once over. Money hungry, rude, and inconsiderate. No explanation of the bill and no consideration about the fact that I had an inpatient puppy that needed to go to the bathroom while one of the staff took 10 minutes fumbling with the credit card machine like she’d never used it before. Not helpful, not sorry, and couldn’t even make eye contact. Their admin staff need a check up from the neck up. I would have loved to have made them my puppy’s primary vet, but zero chance that’s happening.

I met Dr Browning for the first time while taking Sophie, a friend’s senior dog (14 yrs old), for a check up. I am impressed. He took his time and was sensitive to the dog’s needs. He was patient with questions and he delivered sad news to Sophie’s Mom simply and with care.

I absolutely love the Vet Clinic staff and doctors, my dog literally thinks it’s a treat to go here and he’s been afraid of another vet. We are so grateful for how responsive and attentive they have been to any issues my dog has had. They are always great about helping deal with my dog’s allergies and they always try to get us in as soon as possible even when they are beyond swamped. It is amazing what they are able to do as such a small local clinic with two doctors!

Everyone and both doctors are such caring and attentive people. I trust them with my animals wholeheartedly. While sitting in the lobby waiting for an appointment, I hear some people be very rude to the staff and they remain so professional regardless of the situation. They're always so kind. My pup literally starts to cry when she knows we're driving to the clinic and runs up the stairs to go say hi to everyone. She never touched the ground when she's there.

I do not like giving bad reviews but one of my dogs was very sick and they could not evaluate him in the office because they were booked. They accepted him 2 days later to tell us that they could not do anything in the office and we needed to go to an animal hospital. As a physician, I was taken aback that if you call with a real sickness no one can see you? It's frankly unacceptable. I will not be going back to them. There were most certainly things that could have been done in the office but they had no interest in attempting. A sonogram done by anyone would have shown the huge splenic mass that he had and could have shed light on his whole situation. Medical care has declined in this country for both humans and animals.

Happy to bring my chocolate lab here. Went in for a checkup and update his shots. Dr. Browning explained what the additional shots were and how often dogs in the area are likely to get these diseases. It was the first time I was actually educated on each shot, and it was also the first time I actually felt like it was my choice to get them or not.

I never give a review, but felt compelled to do so here. I love Dr. Browning, but I would feel horrible to go back to his offices after I was scolded by his administrative staff for having to cancel an appointment and then hung up on.I called yesterday morning needing to move my afternoon appointment. Before I could ask to reschedule, the person who answered the phone told me that there would be a $50 late cancellation charge. I asked if I could reschedule the appointment, and if so, would I still be charged? I could have even made it to their office later in the day, but this person cut me off mid-sentence to tell me it is their policy and they would charge $50. I acknowledged this fee and again asked if I can reschedule.This person let me know that they could not fill my appointment slot and they would lose money, and she was complaining that she is the only person in the office that day, didn't have the time to fill it, and would (again) charge me $50. Finally, after asking a thrid time, she told me there was an opening the next day, I booked the time and said I was sorry that she was having a bad day.That must have come off in the wrong way. This person then berated me telling me that its policy, that she was not having a bad day, and then hung up on me.I am only trying to get my dog to see Dr. Browning- she has an infection.So I don't have any confirmation this appointment was booked and literally was charged $50 as soon as I hung up.Arranging and changes to the schedule is nothing new. I should not feel ashamed and then hung up on as a customer. I love Dr. Browning but it should not resort to this. I feel so bad and won't be there for my (confirmed?) appointment. Sorry.

Great and friendly place. I brought in 3 hard cases, two cases were for dogs, and the other was a cat. They would not give up on a very difficult skin condition on one dog and figured it out where others gave up. So now I only go here.
