Beautiful toy store. The staff are incredibly welcoming and nice. My favourite thing there is their glass replicas of various animals(for example, grasshoppers, jellyfish, pandas etc..) they have there. I highly recommend going!

So rude! Walked in holding a coffee (that had a lid) and was rudely told to step out OR place my drink in the "drink basket" while I shopped. As if! I am so shocked that you would ask a grown adult to leave a TOY STORE because they have a drink. I walked in a number of other clothing stores for that matter and was not asked once to leave because of my drink. Do they seriously expect me to leave my drink unattended in a "drink basket". These women are crazy. Didn't read the other reviews until after the fact but this place doesn't deserve any business if you ask me! My mom decided to shop around a little and they were even rude to her when she asked simple questions about items for sale. NEVER going here again.

Extremely rude and not kid-friendly. If the owner doesn't want people walking in to browse, she should move to a different street. This is Hamptons after all!

"Once upon a time there was a quaint little village and in that village was a cozy little toy shop with helpers as close as you can get to real elves ready to help you find the perfect gift....".......and when the fairy tale was finished being read we walked into Sag Harbor and, to our amazement, discovered the same toy shop, The Wharf Shop! You will not get midnight door busters on Black Friday (thank goodness!) but what you will get are attentive staff and proud owners who will take the time to get to know you. We have received gift and reading suggestions from Gwen over the years--not just a happenstance comment in passing but a phone call home saying "A book came in and it would be a great fit for your son, if Interested.". We are so glad that The Wharf Shop survives the Sag Harbor popularity and corporate store boom. Without it, Sag Harbor would just be another Hamptons Main Street. They have what you need as well as many unique Sag Harbor gift ideas. Stop in and support our neighbors which will help keep Sag Harbor the Sag Harbor that everyone loves.

Yesterday I went inside of this store with my child that is 23 month old . I had my mask on and I walk in with my child on the entrance , was owner of the store , we said hello to her and my baby start to be cranky little bit and to cry . She told us to step outside with my baby because he is crying and spreding viruses around with his breath . So basically she kicked us out because of my baby crying . I never in my life was this humiliated . I'm never coming back to this store . Let me just say that I was regular in this store too . I can't believe how people are so ignorant and they are even giving me lecture about spread of the virus. Excuse me " lady" my child is health and before you say something like that to my baby you should check your mouth and your breath , speacial your brain . Because you don't have Any education to speak about this and saying such non sense if I may say stupid

Cranky old ladies work in this store and it is so sad! I understand that covid is going on right now and everyone is worried about their health, but if you are going to walk around scolding children and adults for touching products they are considering buying and yelling at people to use hand sanitizer as soon as they walk in the door you might as well just close the store until this all blows over. My mom took my daughter in here to get something for her 4th birthday. She had money to pick out pretty much anything she wanted so of course she is going to want to check things out. Isn't the whole point of sanitizing your hands when you walk in so they are clean to touch things? We also went to the kite store and it was a totally different atmosphere and so much more laid back. The ladies in there are wonderful. The older ladies in the wharf shop have always been mean grouches to kids and they definitely don't give you that warm and fuzzy feeling when you walk in. I suggest shopping at the kite store in town, the 5&10, and flashbacks over this place any day.
