Your phone will tell you that your package is ready to be picked up, but if you don’t have a yellow card Gwen won’t even go to look. She told me instead to come back in 30 minutes when I might have a card finally in my box.

Toni was very helpful in getting my package intercepted for my client. She was very patient over the phone and helped me when the USPS 1800 hotline couldn't. She is stellar.

They no longer answer the phone, hardly any staff, tracking system down a lot, no one knows anything. Use to be a good post office.

Contrary to some of the comments, I've found the staff to be reasonably efficient and quite personable. News flash: it's the POST OFFICE. It's not the most efficient operation in American industry and, at certain times, like Saturday mornings, the line can be 10-12 people long. So it CAN take a while. But I've never experienced any rudeness or negative vibe at all from the staff. Quite the contrary. Certainly never anything racial - that's kind of offensive there Karen. MAYBE it's just you. Because, you know, in some cultures, being entitled, obnoxious, and cutting lines IS considered rude.

Postal workers are incredibly kind. I don’t understand the negative comments. It’s the mail, it keeps coming incessantly, postal workers are just doing the best they can. Sometimes they get busy, it’s to be expected, because…it’s the mail.

One of the women in the Sag Harbor post office has a real attitude--especially if you are a white woman such as I am. There was an incident recently when she called me out as "rude" in front of everyone because I dropped off a package without waiting in line. Apparently, a new policy to that effect was recently put in place but I didn't get the memo. She really gave me grief--to the point where I avoid this post office whenever possible. it was really upsetting. Beware, unless you want to ruin your day.

Pathetic inability to do their very simple jobs. Including answering a phone. People like this are what create chaos in the world.

This is a fantastic post office, with helpful, friendly, and efficient staff. I've observed them being patient with challenging customers. If there's ever a line, it moves quickly.

Unfortunately Rose has retired and whoever was promoted does not take the job seriously. I was the first of 7-10 people in line and I just waited more than half hour while watching people gossip, check their phones and put papers in a very neat pile while we all waited. I hope someday soon they will take their jobs seriously. Rose is missed!!

Wish I could give zero stars. Inefficient, uncooperative, and lacking manners. Can't pick up a package that is being held at the location until they call you, but they won't call you until you call them. However, they don't answer the phone so you can't even call them. To receive your package that they are holding, you are required to go into the post office, write down the package tracking number, then leave because they will not look for the package at that moment. Then you must wait again for someone to call you, which could come at any point in the day even 10 mins before they close so you cannot pick up the package that day. The entire system at this place is mismanaged. The workers seem miserable and displace their discontent on the customers.

My package was lost. Post master was super nice...good guy. It took a week or so but I eventually got it.

Slowest workers on the planet and they honestly need to get fired and have their pay/benefits reduced by 75% the 1st year, then reduced 50% of the remaining in 2nd year. They also should be responsible for the cost of their uniforms. Lastly the mail carriers with vehicles should be required to pay for the fuel out of pocket.

Had an important package get shipped to the Sag Harbor Post Office on accident and not to my local hometown. I called and spoke to a man named Will I think it was. He was very professional and said that it would be marked as mis sent and put back on the next truck out and would be at my hometown the next day. He was 100% correct and really helped me. Thanks Will!!
