Elizabeth is the only hairdresser who has been able to make my very difficult hair look consistently great - and that’s now over several years. She is a superb cutter (Vidal Sassoon trained which I, as a Brit, appreciate) and has been a godsend. Elizabeth is a delightful human being and it’s a pleasure knowing her.

Elizabeth is an excellent stylist. So professional. Her salon is very clean and very covid safe, which is so appreciated this past year. She takes care of my whole family. Always a great experience!

Elizabeth the owner of Windswept has been cutting my hair for 20 years. In those 20 years she has been not only the best hairdresser I have ever used but is kind, caring and makes you feel like you are the only person getting there hair done. I would highly recommend her for the besthairdresser on the east end of Long Island

As my girlfriend Victoria (Tori) works nonstop during the day, I volunteered to write this review on her behalf but with her blessing. A few months ago, Tori went to get her hair colored (a single process root touchup) at this salon. Over the next few weeks after she left the salon, her hair started to break off near the root. Initially she hid this from me (and likely herself) by wearing hats or beanies all the time. As this was during winter, it wasn't super far fetched to be wearing a beanie. In the end though, about half of the hair on the back of her head broke off at the root. Not great. I brought up reaching out to the salon and asking for reimbursement but she said she didn't want to cause trouble and said that the experience was positive - other than losing her hair. As a result, we did nothing at this point. A month before Christmas, we went to another salon in San Francisco and the stylist there was mortified. She said she would have been "crying" if someone had done that to her hair. She said she would see what she could do, but it would take many months or longer to restore her hair to what it had been. Over Christmas, the conversation of her "tufts" came up again. Tufts is what we've started to affectionately call half of the back of her head with very short hair (while the other half has long hair). It was then that I said I would reach out to the owner of the salon when we got back to the Hamptons. Three days ago I emailed the owner of the salon and explained the situation. She said that if I had reached out sooner and if she confirmed the issue in person, she would refund. I explained that we'd been traveling but offered to send her pictures. At this point I was expecting an apology and a refund but her response at this point was to *put me in touch with her lawyer*. Needless to say I am shocked by the lack of customer care shown by someone in the service industry. I have a lot of friends that work in the service industry and they told me that they always engage in healthy dialog with someone that is making a good faith attempt to resolve a situation. You will always have ups and downs, but it is how you conduct yourself that defines the character of the person and by extension the business, the salon. I hope that the owner of the salon learns something from this experience. Also, if you have fine blonde hair, maybe try another salon unless like like "tufts".

Excellent Hair styling by very skilled hands. Warm and friendly atmosphere in home annex in Noyac, NY. Very careful about Covid procedures...One client at a time, wear mask, take temperature on entrance. Cash or check only . A favorite find known to locals. 5 Stars!

Great colorists, especially for blondes. Richard was very thorough and professional in his consultation. He turned my brassy blonde into a polished champagne color I loved!

People literally stop me on the street and ask where I get my hair done. Elizabeth is an artist and one of the most kind, generous people I know. She listens to her clients and works to make them happy (rather than some stylists who do what they want regardless of what the client is saying). I cannot recommend Windswept highly enough. The best!
