About Academy & Main

Much like the Saranac Lake intersection from which it takes its name, Academy & Main is a crossroads of top brands and curated finds you’d appreciate in a modern Manhattan shop, plus cut-above local goods from across the Adirondacks. It’s a shop as much for the local community in need of the right gift for the right occasion as it is the launching point for hotel guests’ retail therapy excursions.

Saranac Lake is a beautiful little town. The shops are great and carry unique items. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops also. We arrived and had an excellent lunch. There is a lot with free parking.

The gifts and accessories in this store are so beautifully arranged and well curated. We found great Adirondack stickers and tasteful decor. We will definitely check back in!
