Dollar General is appreciated by the community for its presence and friendly staff. The store now has a great group of employees and a wonderful manager, which has improved the overall experience. Customers and staff work hard, and the store looks great, with praise from many customers. However, there have been issues with some employees behaving rudely, swearing, and slamming items, which has affected the atmosphere. Despite most staff being helpful and friendly, the negative behavior of one employee has caused concern. Overall, the store is valued, and efforts are being made to maintain a positive environment, with both staff and customers appreciating the improvements and hard work.

It's a nice little store but has a perpetual moldy stink to it which is not pleasant.

My review is based on the hospitality I've received at this establishment. I broke my phone when in the area for an appointment, and I'm not familiar with Saranac Lake and the manager was kind enough to write down instructions and repeated them several times to a flustered and panicked woman. Thank you!!
