This visit was very strange, as for fixing my car they did great but they weren’t very organized, they wrote down the wrong mileage by like 40k miles too much which would have gotten me out of my brakes warranty, after I corrected them they fixed it. They told me one price over the phone, called back asked what price I was told, and then upon picking up my car they added another 200$ out of nowhere. They also didn’t put any brake fluid into my car so I had to come back right after leaving the lot. They usually do great but this time they were super unorganized and sloppy this time. More attention to detail would be great.

They refuse to acknowledge the fact they made a mistake and now I have to dump more money out to have a 2nd shop fix their problem.They have little to no knowledge on actually diagnosing a cars issue. They said if my thermostat was stuck OPEN it would over heat.... when in fact a a open thermostat would cause over cooling. Which would explain the lack of heat in my car.

Dissatisfied is an understatement. I took my car here because my mechanic does not offer alignments. I needed new tires to pass inspection so I chose this location because it's local and I could get the tires and alignment taken care of in one place. The technician offered me a discount if I paid cash for the services and only put the tires on a card. I told him I wouldn't know till later and I had to get to work. He said "I need to know before I work on the car, so I will text you before it goes in to check with you". Not thinking much of it because I was in hurry to catch my ride to work I said ok and left. I received a text message an hour later that my car was ready. When I questioned the alignment and informed him I would have to use a card, he then offered me his Venmo and ignored the alignment question. I asked again, and if I could get the print out of the work (the graph showing the alignment info) I was told the printer wasn't working. Feeling very suspicious I let it be.... My car was sitting there and at this point I didn't know what would happen if I challenge him. I picked up my car, paid for the services (731.34) total for the tires, alignment and balance and drove away with my car still pulling to the right and vibrations when I hit high speeds. I took it to my mechanic and told them the story (literally a few days after the fact) we looked at the tie rods and it's clear they were 100% untouched. Covered in surface rust and no indication a tool had touched them in quite some time. Also, I have a combination of old tire weights as well as new, which indicates they did not do a proper balance job. I am absolutely perplexed at the lack of professionalism. I called and spoke with two other managers, one didn't seem upset at all which makes me wonder if he even cares or if he is in on ripping people off as well as the franchise. I debated writing a review as I NEVER write bad reviews. I hate doing that. But I NEVER want this to happen to anyone again. Our vehicles are our lively hood, our transportation.... And this is a safety issue amongst other things. Do not support this business! Not unless they do some serious house cleaning. I am thankful I have common sense, and a fantastic mechanic in Jay who is almost like family to me.And for the record... Another manager at another Monro location admitted it takes much longer to conduct these services than what was spent on my car and when he saw the photos also said "that's 100% untouched".I will be taking further action. This is just not ok.

After a tire change, we requested to know the tire pressure. The mechanic assured us it was properly done. Later that day we returned and expressed concern that the tires felt off and the pressure sensor said low pressure. The person at the desk assured us everything was fine and did not check the pressure. Two days later we checked the pressure at a different location and it was 15psi UNDERINFLATED. extremely dangerous. We are disappointed with the shop keepers unconcerned attitude.

Our daughter was having issues (scraping, grinding, etc) with our 2014 Subaru Forester on her way back from a long trip on a Sunday afternoon and pulled into a MONRO in Saranac Lake at our advisement. We left a note with the key apologizing for leaving the unknown vehicle, and advised that we’d contact the shop in the morning. The next day, we spoke to the manager, Don and he said he’d get it into the shop as soon as he could, as it was already a busy Monday and that he’d call back with his findings. A short while later, Don called back to advise that the parking brake hardware had completely come loose and had damaged the backing plate, and that he saved the parts for us to see (which upon inspection were just ground up metal shards (the little “shoes”) and other bent and incomplete connective hardware. Further, he could not guarantee that he could get the parts in a timely manner (we live almost 4hrs away), as some were Subaru prioritive, so he removed, cleaned and reinstalled all the remaining components and told me to come and pick it up, as it was safe to drive it to our local MONRO where we had the brakes and rotors (not the E-brake) serviced a few months ago. Even further, Don was supportive and kind to us upon arrival and refused payment, even at our urging, which is a courtesy that has almost vanished in the current day. While we were already a MONRO “family”, Don’s professional, timely and quite honestly amazing service is credit to the organization. Thank you VERY much!!

They got me in last minute when my car broke down when i was 5+ hours from my home. They even ordered parts for me and made sure everything was done same-day in only a few hours. I am so grateful for the kindness of this shop and they did a great job on my car!!!

I came in with trust that my vehicle would be checked and fixed and sadly they didn't offer the work that my vehicle needed which is okay and understandable BUT I didn't think they were THIEVES! A super nice employee told me that I could leave my car in their parking lot until it got towed since they weren't able to work on it due to certain issues that they don't work with. I left my car there for almost two weeks (since the towing company and the other mechanic weren't available till then) I left my car in a certain spot. The second week I went in to leave some money in my car so that the towing company could be paid for and because I couldn't be present because of work (I locked my car after doing so). Only one employee knew I was doing this and that was the manager. A few days later I call the towing company and I'm told that the money wasn't in the car. I was devastated and upset. When I show up in person to ask if I could maybe see any security footage the manager is super defensive and says that they don't have any cameras and that my car wasn't touched at all. That day my car was in another spot on their parking lot which makes me assume that they moved it to another spot in the parking lot (it wasn't the towing company cuz I asked). I am pretty sure that who ever moved my car stole my money ($189) and they just won't admit to that.

Don and his guys at Monro majorly helped me out when I was in town for the weekend and had an issue with my brakes — they quickly took a look at my car and calmly explained exactly what went wrong with the hanger bolt and caliper to cause damage to my rim and helped me decide if it was safe to continue driving on my spare tire after fixing the bolt. Super fast and friendly and reassuring. I couldn’t be more thankful!!

Our brake fluid light came on and we stopped here because it was the closest place. They checked everything out and said everything was OK, refilled the fluid, and we were on our way in like ten minutes. They're the best.

Here I am again, sitting in the Monroe waiting room while Don and Kenny and the other mechanics save the day. These guys have helped me out so many times I’ve lost count. Holiday weekends when every business in town is closed, these guys are always here to help. They’ve saved me a lot of money and gotten me out of a lot of car trouble. Thanks guys!

Terrible, charged me for a tire alignment and made it pull much worse. They unscrewed my left brake and left it like that. I only noticed when I heard the clanking sound coming home and had to fix it myself. A month later I am still waiting for my refund. Terrible customer service, people in the shop are clueless to what they are doing. Left handprints all over my car and got grease all over my interior. After I told them they made the issue worse they argued with me telling me its not their problem and that other things needed to be replaced, even though all the things they told me I needed a new one of was replaced the month prior. I wouldn't even trust them with an oil change, never ever go here unless you want to spend money to have them wreck your car.

I was in town for my son's wedding and had a tire loosing air, so I went to Monroe Auto Service and they took me right in and fixed the tire for me.Great Service!
