Scammed me out of 150 dollars. Don’t tell you that the codes for digital games are printed on the receipt then refuse to reprint the receipt because it goes against there policy. Sketchy company with loaded with loser employees.

I had gone to GameStop on Black Friday in order to buy a PS5. When I arrived I talked to someone who seemed to be the manager. They told me I could trade in my PS4 Slim for money off my PS5. I told them I would most likely be back later that day. When I returned in about an hour the person I talked to was not there. So, I waited at the counter while an employee was helping another customer. While helping this customer who clearly did not know a lot about the product he was being very rude about her comprehension of the topic. Eventually, he came over to me and told me they were not accepting trades at this time.I walked out briefly and came back to wait in line again. While I was in line he was speaking to another customer who became confused because he had rung up the sale wrong. The customer simply asked what had happened and he responded by being very rude and sarcastic about making a mistake. I want to preface this by saying she was not being rude at all, only confused. Having enough of his rudeness, she called him out on it. He responded by denying her claims. She continued to say how rude he had been to every customer she had seen him help. Eventually she left very unhappy and I went up to ask what had changed over the past hour and told him this would be the only time I could make the sale. He proceeded to snap back at me and say something akin to "fine lets do the trade"I took my PS4 out to begin trading it in. He plugged it in and told me it was not turning on. I tried to do the same and was very confused, because I tested it 20 minutes ago. While checking me out he began talking about the lady from earlier. While in front of me he called her "a c*unt". When I responded back telling him that was not nice or appropriate he told me "I don't care".I ended up trading in a few games I brought with me as credit towards the PS5. Before transferring the credit towards my purchase he asked me if I wanted to put the games towards my PS5. I said "yes, thank you, I appreciated you asking." He told me "just making sure, because I did not want you to yell at me after making a simple mistake and get me fired."I ended up leaving with the PS5, but was not able to trade in the PS4. So I spent at least an extra $80 dollars because of this. This would have been ok if it was my fault and if he was not rude about it.Because when I arrived back home, the first thing I did was plug in the PS4. It turned on immediately, so this makes me think that either 1) the outlet is broken and should be fixed or 2) the employee helping me did not plug it in because he wanted to inconvenience me. Either way I am not happy about my experience at this store. I have had great experiences across the board with GameStop and it is a company that I would love to support. But after this I do not want to shop there ever again.I believe the employee helping me was named Gabriel C. He acted very childish and rude an is not fit for a customer service job.UPDATE:I just logged into my GameStop account to see if I was signed up for GameStop Pro like I requested. It turns out I am not and he ignored my request even after handing him my drivers license.

Imagine having beef with a customer and lying to them saying their pro account is banned. Imagine lying because you’re petty? Couldn’t be me. I hope you get fired Marcus ?

GameStop has been the single worst experience that I have ever had with a business, ever, ever. I put a special edition game on reserve months ahead of its release date. When I went to pick it up only 10 days after the release date, again paid in full, they sold it on me and made me go running around around the capital region trying to find a copy. There was one left at a different store 40 miles away. When I decided to put in a complaint with customer service on their customer service hotline, a ticket was created and nothing happened. Two months later and four tickets submitted along with two visits to the store, I still have not heard from the district manager, or anyone for that matter for this issue. I can't seem to get anything resolved with this company and therefore you have lost my business forever. I mean FOREVER. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at GameStop over the years and you are never getting another dime of my money because of how I'm being treated with this entire situation. The district manager in this area should be fired along with the managers that try to manage the stores and do a terrible job. This company should just fold and give up. They are the next blockbuster except I won't look back on this place fondly. And, if this review doesn't prompt a call, I'm going to complain to the BBB and continue to put egg on GameStop's face until I get a resolution.

Despite being the only person on duty today (a Sunday), Marcus was incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. First I called in with a question about a Levi's return of all things, and he knew right away the answer. And then when I arrived at the store, he was handling in-store customers as well as phone calls, proficiently! I waited for him to finish with his call and his other in-store customers, and we talked everything from 1978 arcade games to modern console options, and he was a WEALTH of information! Truly a great experience, great advice, and I was absolutely stunned that he knew as much about vintage gaming options as he knew about modern console and digital gaming options. Very surprised that a store like this can still operate, but even more surprised by how passionate Marcus was about everything I asked about (which was a lot!) and how enthused he was to engage in discussing all of the gaming options and platforms based on my interests. I've never dealt with anyone better than Marcus in any retail store ever, but especially when it came to his knowledge of the old vs new worlds of gaming knowledge! Super nice, and friendly to each customer I saw him deal with (including phone-ins while at the same time working with a few of us in the store). Not kidding when I say this - I will come back to this location just because he is there a couple days a week. A+ Marcus, and thank you!

Customer services......there is none. I walked in. The guy was busy on his cell phone. Another customer came in asking about a game. Very poorly helped him. Said he hadn't heard anything about the game. Didn't even get on the computer to look it up or anything. Made the customer feel odd for asking. And I wanted to say something but doubt it'd help. His cell was more important then the store.

This store has gone so downhill in recent years. I have seen employees come and go, very good ones, at that and didn't understand why as they were all enthusiastic individuals with love for video games and had exceptional customer service and care. A district manager of 12 years today berated, talked down to and only cared about being right when talking to a customer about a simple misunderstanding. Instead of being empathetic, trying to understand, saying he just simply may not know or trying it himself, he instead only cared about being right, touted that he had been district manager for 12 years, and I was lesser than him, and that what I was asking, that had been done multiple times before in the past was impossible to do, couldn't have happened, and that I was wrong and delusional. I came in wanting to make several purchases and had a question during and instead left, drove home crying...due to being berated, talked down to, and told I was completely wrong. This man only cared about arguing, being right and not having a civil conversation. It truly wasn't even about my question or me being right or wrong in the situation, but about the way I was treated the entire way through. He already made up his mind that he was right and I was wrong and didn't want to hear anymore from me, logic or reasoning out the door. How does someone become a district manager and stay there with little to no customer service skills, empathy or people skills? Maybe that's the true essence of why this store has been failing and can't keep employees longer than a few months. Because those employees too have to face that same person. I walked out of there without making a purchase and will never be back in Saratoga Springs GameStop again.

The customer service is the worst,I tried to buy play station money, put it on a receipt, the two employees continued to lie to me ,cause they did not want to do there job, continue talking telling me this is what you get.I walked out called other game stops ,two actually they told they are lying to me ,then I called 800 number, told me the same.this store became the biggest joke.they should put down there phones, try listening to customers, instead of talking over them and talking down to them.

Kelly (the man with self-inflicted wounds on his left arm and "arts and crafts" tattoos... ) is possibly the worst human being I've ever come in contact with. Congrats
