Universal Preservation Hall is a unique, year-round performance venue located in a historic 1871 church in downtown Saratoga Springs. It is a 685-seat space that programs live music, comedy, and family entertainment. The venue is a gorgeous old Methodist church turned performance hall, with amazing interior and exterior architecture. It offers an intimate atmosphere with great acoustics and no bad seat in the house. Seating is flexible, with chairs on the main floor for getting close to performers, stadium seating behind, and cushioned pews in the side balconies. The building itself is an attraction, and they have done a phenomenal job bringing the old historic church to life, preserving much of its character. It is a super setting for live music, with a full lighting system and beverages sold. The mission is to preserve all they can within the hall. There is no on-site parking, so checking local maps or finding street parking is advised. Building access is around the right side. The venue features a metal detector entrance and an interior lobby that may have performer merchandise. It provides a wonderful, comfortable setting where audiences can enjoy a great show.
