About The Well

The Well is a thrift store run by the Saugerties Area Council of Churches, with a 100% volunteer staff. All profits are given back to the community, supporting local initiatives such as scholarships and the Boys & Girls Club. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the amazing bargains and treasures to be found. The store is small but well-organized, and there is even a free store next door where unsold items are available. Customers describe The Well as one of the best thrift shops in the country, with incredibly fair prices and a delightful shopping experience.

    ❤❤️ The Saugerties Community is very supportive of this thrift shop. Great donations enable the volunteer staff to stock items at very reasonable prices. Great place to shop. Monies go back into the community. There is a free side, too. Creative people repurpose items that would otherwise be discarded. They re-cycle.
