The lifeguard Maria was beyond disrespectful. I was holding onto the handle bar at the hot tub to remove my crocs before entering. She immediately started yelling at me to not leave my sandals near the stairs. I had not even taken them off yet, and wasn’t planning on leaving them in the way, I just simply needed to keep balance because the floor is slippery. If she was a professional worker she would have been respectful about it, but instead she grabbed a sign that stated where to leave the sandals and put the sign up to my face while continually yelling “yeah” over and over again. I gave her the same attitude back which shut her up. She is very unprofessional and I even witnessed her yell at an older man that same day. I’m probably still going to go back since I like the gym but her miserable self needs to either find a new job or learn how to talk to people. She seems feral.

I’ve been coming to 24 hr fitness for a few years and I’m very happy here. I would say that for the price you pay for a membership, you get a lot. There is definitely room for improvement but considering all of the pros I would say 24 hr is a good spot. They have a huge array of fitness classes taught by quality instructors, they are open 24 hour which is huge for me because of my lifestyle/work. The amenities are a plus. All of the staff are amazing, kind and chill people. The atmosphere here is also nice from other members, people are overall pretty respectful and courteous of the public space. Shoutout to Joanna ???

The gym itself is well equipped and allows you to get in your workout. It gets crowded at times but it’s big enough to suffice. The trainer JoAnna makes everyone feel so comfortable and goes out of her way to make sure the gym is clean while asking if people would like advice on proper form, preventing injury.

Got a good promotion on a wonderful trainer, Joanna from the fitness manager Matt. Joanna is kind, sweet and listens well. She is dedicated in creating tailor-made workouts for my goals, of strength training, mobility, preventing injury, losing weight, and passing my Army physical fitness exam. I have worked out before having a trainer, but my workouts didn't have enough variability (just deadlifts/bench press/inclined bench/pull ups). She helped me incorporate more dynamic stretching and body weight exercises which helped the muscles that I was neglecting with my usual routine. Some of the pains (especially my knee, shoulder and thigh adductor) that I've had for a few months have already started to disappear, and I feel more confident that I have a stronger base strength than before, so that I can continue to increase my strength without injuring myself. Highly recommend Joanna as a trainer!

I attended a kickboxing class last weekend that I completely fell in love with! The trainers were amazing BUT Matt came in and not only interrupted the class before it was even done he was rude! The price for the class didn’t make sense to the people who came to the kickboxing class because it was one class per week and wasn’t included in our membership. We all asked if we could at least do a trial month and add 2 classes in which Matt agreed to doing the trial month. We all were happy and then asked if we can add 2 days a week as well (both trainers were all for having 2 classes a week, we even came up with the days that fit everyone’s schedule). The only unhappy person here was Matt with his response being “nope” and stormed out of the class . It was completely unprofessional and uncalled for.The next day we got a message from one of the trainers saying he spoke to the General manager and was told “systematically” there is no way to avoid getting charged next month in which I said Matt had already agreed to waving a month ( meaning “Systematically” we CAN avoid getting charged) and I’m guessing they didn’t like my response or getting caught in a lie so I was met with no response at all. Haven’t heard from any of the trainers or Matt at all. $119 for one class a week plus whatever the cost of your regular membership is is absolutely absurd. I’d rather go to an actual boxing gym and pay the same price to get unlimited classes.

Honestly, it’s trash. Only go there because it’s close to home. The members steal gym equipment, and the equipment itself is old, outdated, and dirty. The facility is generally dirty, but more so in the bathrooms. Truly disgusting. I’d love to swim, but you couldn’t pay me enough to use their pool. It’s a gym. You can get a workout. But there are better options if you’re willing to pay a little more.

This gym was really nice when it opened in 2017, a lot has changed. I have never seen a gym this dirty. the locker rooms look like the public bathrooms at grand central at this point. They also have a theft problem, the place is just ghetto.

This facility has been suffering from high theft. When asked if equipment will be replaced and is there a plan to slow or stop the thefts. I was advised corporate has been aware and there is no plan to rectify the problem or replace equipment.
