They made it easy to rent a car really close to my home at a local gas station. They were very helpful. Scarsdale Avis is the only place I will rent a car.

Due to the chaos of a holiday weekend, they did not have the car we reserved but promptly put us in something else that worked out great. Jessie was helpful, cool, and had a great welcoming vibe throughout the whole process which was less than 10 minutes between arriving and driving off. The attached service station also has a free-to-use air compressor, which is a subtle but really thoughtful touch. Jessie is the man, and we had a great experience at this location. Thanks y’all!

Would rate zero stars if I could. I reserved a car, traveled all the way from Manhattan to come get it, and the person who worked there told me there are no cars left. The person who worked there was rude, unhelpful, tried to blame me for not booking far enough in advance (when I booked a car to go visit my grandfather in the hospital). You would think I'd receive some sort of notification that a car isn't available so I didn't have to travel all the way there. I then spent the next hour on the phone with Avis customer support who told me that a "reservation does not mean it's reserved" and that the best they can do is transfer the rental to the closest location (Westchester airport) but it is more expensive so I'd have to pay even more for a car. So now, I paid for a train, an Uber from Avis Scarsdale to Avis Westchester Airport, and an additional $80 because the rental was more at the airport. Whatever you do, do not go to this location and I'd suggest avoiding Avis and doing Hertz or Enterprise which I have never had such issues with and have much better customer service.

We rented through Expedia as usual, and the usual is that there are no fees to extend a rental car. BUT with Avis we had to extend it for $10 fees in addition to the daily rate and they wanted to charge those $10 fees each time we asked to extend so we just returned it after one time extension. This is never the case with Enterprise or Hertz or Budget. I have been renting for 2 years in the past weekly and I always extended, I have never been charged extension fees. And when I spoke to the manager he said they do not care that I booked through Expedia and they do not have to comply with Expedia policy, it’s their policy that I have to follow, which is $10 extension fees every time I call to extend even if I call to extend everyday! Definitely do not recommend dealing with Avis ever. A Rip off!.

This business is in the Scarsdale Shell gas station office. Scarsdale Shell has been servicing my car(s) for decades (highly recommended). Normally i drop off my car and take the train to work, but today that wasn't feasible so I rented a car for the day. The process was quick and easy at both ends, the car was clean and ran well, and the people were friendly and helpful. It worked out really well for me and I recommend them without reservation.

I'M going to give this place/location and car 3 out of 5 stars. The car was relatively fine, but it ABSOLUTELY SUCKED in the snowy weather. I was slipping and sliding so much all the way to the point where I had to change my event because I was scared that the car would be stuckPlease look at the photos. The snow you see is small, and relatively non existent. To lose control over that little snow is very disappointing. For a newer modelled car, I was shocked and nervous that I would slip into a tree or something.The location is fine, decent service. But make sure you are clear with where you going. You don't want to be on your anniversary and disappointed like me because of the poor handling of this vehicle. Good location, but terrible car for the snow.

Terrible service. Calls me day of rental to say they are sold out even though I had the reservation. Customer service very rude and sent me to a terrible place for rental. They tried to scam me by charging me again at higher rate- even though I prepaid and it clearly says that ion reservation! Avis does not care for its customers! Do business with other agencies! Avis is terrible!! Forces me to give 1 star they deserve nothing!
