Bronx River Books is a fiercely independent bookstore located 120 steps from the Scarsdale train station. It is a great, amazing store with a cozy feel and a great selection of 15,000 excellent new general interest books in all genres for adults, young adults, and children. The store is owned and operated by two passionate book lovers who are welcoming and add a personal touch. They gladly share their encyclopedic knowledge and palpable enthusiasm. The service is outstanding and friendly. While the selection is understandable for a small space and the value is average, they will happily order anything not in stock. The brightly lit store has lovely displays and hosts readings and signings by authors and other bookish events. The area has nice shops, benches, plenty of parking, and a nearby park. It is definitely worth the stop and highly recommended.
Great bookstore . The owners offer a wide variety of books on all subjects and what I really like is that they have an incredible knowledge of almost everything in the store !! I've been going there for years and I plan to keep coming back.

Bronx River Books is a great independent store. Going there is always a pleasant experience. The owners are welcoming and add the personal touch that only indie bookstores have.
