Zoom yoga with Nancy is excellent. She guides us into precise positions and provides individualized attention to each person. Nancy's depth of knowledge and experience are amazing. Taking her classes 5 or 6 times a week has helped me tremendously during the pandemic. (I am a woman of a certain age with intermittent experience.) Highly recommended.

Nancy is the real Mccoy of Iyengar Yoga. Not because she did some training in yoga or because of her extensive knowledge and experience, but because she knows how to put together the mind body connection of the asanas. Her descriptive visualizations unite the mind and the body. Her sessions are physically strengthening and spiritually liberating. In my opinion, her teaching is good for those simply looking for body improvement and even better for those wanting the true yoga experience.

Thanks to Nancy's Zoom classes, I can now study with her no matter where I am. Every class is different and focused. I feel better physically and mentally after each and every class. Getting set up at home involved buying a mat, two blocks, a strap, a bolster, and a couple of metal folding chairs ($10 at Walmart) which my husband modified per instructions on Youtube (not difficult). We are a friendly group with varying skill levels. We'd love for you to join us! Highly recommended.

Nancy is a fabulous! I found Nancy and Iyengar Yoga after a serious running injury that hurt the cartilage in my hip in 2012. It left me in pain and unbalanced. Nancy invited me into her classes and helped me get realigned, gain strength and increase flexibility. I have been working with her ever since! Her classes are great for beginners or those that are advanced. She adjusts and takes extra care if you have an injury. I feel lucky to have found her!

Nancy's Iyengar Yoga is the greatest form of yoga I've ever done in my life. As soon as I started classes, I saw and felt my body transforming. My structure has changed, I stand up straighter, and I am mentally and emotionally happier. It's extremely powerful and life-changing at a therapeutic level. Once you've finished your first class, you'll want more!

How fortunate to have this wonderful teacher so close by. I would not hesitate to travel a distance to take her classes, though, as I did while I lived in Manhattan. Nancy is extremely disciplined and dedicated. In the 20 years I have been coming to class I have seen her grow as a teacher. Her enthusiasm to practice Iyengar yoga is evident in her desire to continue learning from the Iyengar family and other senior Iyengar teacher around the US. More important, it is her own personal practice that has been instrumental in making her the exquisit teacher she is. Classes are intimate and I would say intense. They last an hour and a half and focus on different parts of the body, including internal organs. Attention is on alignment, balance, stamina, flexibility and strength. But they are not a alternative exercise class, it is truly a practice that cultivates equanimity, compassion, mindfulness... Asanas are not mere poses, but a form of meditation. Nancy's studio in Scarsdale is well equipped with ropes, blocks, mats, belts, bolsters, chairs and any tool that can potentionally assist students. Her keen eye is on every body making sure every student has understood and followed her very careful instructions. Her heart is compassionate and tuned to each person's needs. For me this practice has been transformative. My poses are not "perfect", but rather a process by which I learn more about my physical and spiritual self. It is hard for me to imagine what I would be like today without Iyengar Yoga. Namaste, Nancy.

Nancy has been one of the most transformative yoga teachers I have had the good fortune to study with in my 7 years of yoga practice (Iyengar, Ashtanga, as well as Gyrotonics and Pilates) When I moved from San Francisco - a land abundant with some of this country's most amazing yogis and yoginis - to Greenwich, I worried a bit about finding a new teacher. Nancy however has been one of the great blessings that has come from my move. In Nancy I have found a teacher who illuminates the power of yoga to strengthen and stretch both my body and my mind. Her instruction is clear and her eye is keen. I watch her offer each student the attention and guidance they need to grow and improve. Whether you are a total beginner or have a long-time practice, Nancy will be a true guide and friend on your path. I hope to see you in class!

I discovered Nancy's studio 18 years ago and never again was tempted to look for another teacher. Nancy guided me with patience, care, knowledge and discipline from being strong and healthy through physical hardship until I had regained my strength again. Iyengar method requires focus. One learns the art of Yoga with gentleness, precision and awareness of one's limits. The benefits are immense. Cristina Guler

Nancy is an extensively trained and highly skilled Iyengar Yoga teacher. While classes focus on building strength, alignment and mindfulness, Nancy's gift is her ability to adapt her teaching to her students' individual needs.

In an era where large classes of yoga students power their way through grueling, regimented poses, Iyengar yoga, with its emphasis on careful form and proper alignment, represents the opposite extreme.
