If I could give a negative star I would. The WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I came in with an appointment and the owner rudely said he didn’t see my name so clearly I didn’t have an appointment. All of the other nail technicians were gawking at me… I should have just left at that point. After some back and forth I was seated for what was supposed to be a gel nail removal. They had no idea how to remove soft gel (uh, it’s the most basic removal). The technician took out an electric file, and I told her just use a regular emery board. I had to explain to her how to use the acetone and foil. Instead of waiting 10-15 min she decided to give the nails only 2-5 minutes of soaking and used a nail file to scrape off the gel. HORRIBLE! She also jammed a tool under my nail, which was bloody painful. There was still gel left on my nails so she had to keep filing down. This ridiculously horrid procedure cost $20, whereas in Manhattan it would have been between $5-10, and done correctly! Avoid this place at all costs.

I went here in a pinch as I decided last minute and my place didn't have the time I needed. The lady I had was rushing so bad I'm not sure why, it wasn't even crowded, never put toe spacers or cotton between my toes, and never put my sandals on my feet. $33 dollars for a pedicure that was 4 minutes long, $18 for a manicure that was 1 minute long. Won't be returning.

What a disappointment. I received gift cards from my students at the end of the school year but the nasty owner is annoyed with my selection to try and use them. I am certain that he sabotaged their use. I saw and called him out for not even running the card with the stripe properly positioned. Terrible customer service for an overpriced regular pedicure at $33.00. Go somewhere else.

Extremely unprofessional and overpriced. I came in to get a pedicure, and the woman doing my nails cut my toenails lopsided and nicked my skin a few times when she was trying to yank out my cuticles. The polish was also poor and they tried to fix it after putting the top coat on by putting another layer of polish and ANOTHER layer of top coat— needless to say, the polish chipped off entirely in the next few days.It does not seem like any of the manicurists are certified nail technicians as there are no certificates anywhere in sight. All in all a really unprofessional place and overpriced for terrible service. Don’t go here.Service: Pedicures

A month ago I went there to get my nail gel removed. While the technician was working, I felt pain a couple of times and she cut me a little bit. I didn’t make a big deal out of it. From the first day when I went home my nails were very sensitive to touch and to warm water. I couldn’t even take a bath and massage my head from the pain. I knew it had to do with the bad job she did. After a week or so my nails began to break from the point where the gel was ( thankfully I had left my nails grow and there was a big gap from my natural nail to the nail covered with the gel manicure). If you see closely you can tell that she grinned much further then it should. It’s more clear in the thirty photo on my thumb you can see the uneven surface on my nail. She damaged my nails and for a month or so I am in pain.

They are expensive for the service given, very basic manicure with no oil afterwards or short massage but I was taken without an appointment.

Sophia's Nails is a very clean nail salon. They provide excellent services and also take the proper precautions given the current circumstances. Upon arrival temperatures are taken, the employees are all wearing masks to ensure safety for everyone, they provide a barrier between you and nail tech along with social distancing. Additionally, their employees get tested for COVID every 2 weeks which I personally find a huge relief. I highly recommend this nail salon, they truly care about their customers and their well being. During these times safety is everything to me and I really appreciate their efforts to ensure safety. Highly recommend this nail salon.

This would be my second time coming to this salon because the first experience I had with them was TERRIBLE! but I decided to give them a second chance. Once again they did a bad job. I got a pedicure and the lady doing it either didn't know what she was doing or wasn't trained properly. I was cut in the process, when it came to actually painting my nails it wasn't neat at all, it looked like my 3 year old cousin did it. The price was too much for such bad quality.

Horrible experience. I used to be a regular at Sophias, however lately i believe the staff - along with the manicures - has been going extremely downhill. I got a gel manicure today from MiMi and she cut my cuticles to the point where one of them started bleeding; and wouldn't stop bleeding. She then proceeded to continue painting over my bleeding nail and got blood stains in my gel polish. I asked her to fix it and she told me it was already stained into my gel. Even 30 mins after my manicure i am still bleeding along with a horrible burning sensation from whatever she put on my fingers to try and stop the blood. Disgusting. In addition, the shape of my nails are a mess and the tips are rough and unpolished. Do not go here.

Sophia's is clean and pretty but it is WAY overpriced. They up charge for everything-- and if you don't agree to additional services, they slight you. The pedicure I had was the shortest I've ever had, and on top of that, when I told the nail tech that the polish looked dull and needed another coat, she blew me off. Then, the person who did my manicure also blew me off when I told her the gel color she picked out was too pink when I had asked for white. They seem to not know that old rule the customer is always right. Especially when you're charging them top dollar.
