I normally do not shop here, however, I received a gift card for a birthday so I decided to check it out. I was disappointed: 1)to see that among the many (very many) varieties of cat food, there was no friskies nor was there Hartz delectables pouches. 2)Although overpriced, I did buy cat litter.
Good (one star) decided to try some different pouch and can varieties. Very disappointed to see a couple brands of canned food already expired. One in 2023 the other June of 2025. I always check expiration dates! A store clerk named Kimber earns the other star. I brought it to her attention and she immediately went over and started checking merchandise.
So I go to the checkout. The cashier named Devin tossed my cans in the bag resulting in dents, which I find unacceptable. Food can spoil this way even when I asked him to be careful with my cans. I should have just bagged it myself. I left the one dinged can on the counter since my concern was unacknowledged. At least the bag was free. Overall, the store was very clean and organized. They seemed to have a huge variety of multiple items, I don't plan on shopping at the store again. Thank you Kimber for immediately checking outdated products so someone's fur baby does not get sick. Petsmart has bathrooms available for shoppers. This store does not.

Absolutely love this place - they have such a large assortment of the most unique items that you won't see anywhere else like Wal-Mart or Petco. The prices are really reasonable and they also have clearance racks inside the store with various chewies and other toys to choose from at a really reduced cost.
The employees have always been very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful too.

Two young women helped me and made great recommendations and were so good to my puppy! They gave her snuggles and we felt so welcome. As a first time dog owner, I had many questions and felt well cared for here and pups has done really well with her food and treats as recommended. We’ve been back several times and not had a bad experience at this location in Rotterdam.

Me and my son went to Rotterdam Benson today 5-17-25 with a 4 to 5 weeks old kitten we found laying on the side of the my street. Heather and Kimber came right over to us and helped us out told us what to do and how to feed and care for the kitten till I can get her to my vet this week coming up. The kitten is very healthy . Heather and Kimber are Awesome employees for Benson pet supplies store.
