My father drove us up here from Virginia to see his home town. When he was about our age he would got to the Dwains Toy Land that was in the same building many years back. When we were driving by he lit up and was so happy that it was open. The store is crowded wall to wall with things, having quite the eclectic style. It's the kind of place where you could spend the whole day looking and collecting things and still leave wanting more. The store owner was polite and nice to us. Would definitely recommend stopping in. Quite the experience.

While there are many beautiful things in this place, the owner, Bob is not willing to haggle on any prices (which is customary for second hand goods). That alone wouldn't be so bad, as he doesn't have to haggle, but his attitude is very rude, off-putting and condescending. I won't go into specifics but in his attempt to intimidate me he lost several sales. Though I wanted the items, I just wanted to get out of there after talking with him. Others I know who have been to his store have had the same experience with him. Basically if you go, be prepared to just find what you want, pay and leave so he doesn't put a bad taste in your mouth.

Located on Central Avenue, this place is pretty easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Ironically, it's in a big red building that's, well, pretty hard to miss... They're only open Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun, so be sure to schedule your trip accordingly. I should warn you - this place is CLUTTERED! I mean, there are barely spaces to walk through, so a) don't come in a big crowd and b) wear comfortable shoes so you don't trip and fall on the stuff. Sadly, I'm not sure this place is handicap accessible, since I honestly don't know where you could walk. (You'll believe me once you walk in) Don't be deterred by the ridiculous amount of stuff packed into this spot, there are a lot of great finds tucked in each and every corner. That said, you'll need a lot of time and a lot of patience to get through it all. I found a few pieces I adored, and suspect if I had stayed any longer, I would have found even more!
