Anyone needs a repair garage I suggest Caruso 's Auto Repair. When our repair guy retired we didn't know where to go. We heard they were good and honest. We tried them and we are still using them years later.

You're lucky to find this place it's the only place I've found that doesn't make you hate having a vehicle. No lies about you need this you need that when you don't like Mavis tires, Lia Nissan, etc. Very professional and warm

My son has a 2003 Cadillac Escalade that was bought new in Texas and resided there until 2025. He relocated to Rotterdam that year and shipped the truck up but it had an issue with parasitic draw of the battery that no Texas mechanic could figure out. Left to sit for a few days without starting, the battery would be dead. In order to cope, he was forced to disconnect the battery whenever he was not using it. My son is a law student and doesn't have any money and so he tolerated this for a long time.
Once the car was up here, I was determined that this problem be resolved. I found Caruso's since it was close to my house and had positive mentions on Nextdoor. Joel was extremely helpful and empathetic on the phone, but he did warn that parasitic draws are often difficult to debug. We dropped the car off.
By the next day, Joel called me to tell me they figured out the culprit (the dashboard instrument cluster). He said unfortunately that part would probably have to be purchased used over eBay but he would make some calls. He called back a couple of hours later, audibly happy, to announce that he was able to get the part new from the manufacturer and the total price of the job ended up being 1/3 of what my son was afraid this would cost him. Car has been running great ever since, and my son drives it from Boston and back every weekend.
So yeah, we'll be back to Caruso's. They are professional, experienced, skilled, competent and a pleasure to deal with.

the owner Ray is one of the most honest people repair shop owners I have ever done business with they were fast with the repairs on my vehicle and understanding of my situation highly recommend them for service on your vehicles

These people here that don't help nobody. I just wanna brake line done and I pay whatever he wants and he told me he didn't do that. He wanted to do the whole job merciful guy.

Highly recommend Caruso’s! I noticed a whirring noise coming from my back tire and they were able to get me in extremely fast, despite them being busy! Super fast service and very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. Will be returning.

The best part of Caruso’s, aside from the wonderful family, is that you never have to worry about getting ripped off. They are honest, trustworthy and they will never do work that doesn’t need to be done. Joel is always a pleasure to deal with and they will always be my #1 mechanics.

I brought my car to Caruso's for quite a few years until my retirement in 2021. I recently left a one star review for a shop out here in Colorado Springs. Which made me realize that I never left a review when I was in Schenectady.
I was hoping to find another Caruso type shop out here but no such luck. Caruso is a tough act to follow. I've always found them to be very honest and very competent. Schenectady is lucky to have them.

Caruso's is top notch!!! When my car broke down 3 hours from home my Uber driver recommended Caruso's as a reliable, dependable place to help with the auto repairs I needed. Boy was he right! Joel listened to all of the issues I experienced with my car, spent the extra time to investigate things and determine the true root cause, and to put my mind at ease. They fixed my car timely and when it was ready I made the 3-hour trip back home with no issues. Joel even followed up with me after my trip to make sure I made it ok! Fantastic customer service!!!
