Dropped car off in the morning for oil change and inspection. Told them no rush and that I couldn't pick it up till end of day. They still got it taken care of pretty quickly.

Went for a routine inspection of $21.00 and came out charged for almost $140.00 . The claim a dirty air filter and ripped wiper blades. I have a 2019 Honda CR-V, mind you , we just had a winter snow storm, I cleaned snow off the car my wipers were fine! I asked to see they looked like it was slashed. While in the waitingroom another women was doing the same thing, getting an inspection and she asked why they taken the filters on out in the first place,it's not required. She says she will not be coming back. My father recommended this place andthat's why I went there bc it's supposed to be reputable, but I could have went to jiffy lube, or vavaline where they do those shenanigans . I'm really surprised but that's what mechanics do to women, who want to maintain their cars.I can't imagine what kind of prices , they would come up with God forbid for car repairs! I am genuinely shocked and disgusted! Not to mention absolutely outraged! Lost my business forever! womentrtheir cawould have to face if it was a repair job! I'm thoroughly shocked and disgusted, and genuinely outraged!m

Love this garage. The ppl there r very helpful & trust worthy. They helped me figure out what was wrong w my car and helped me prioritize its needs and worked w me on the prices.

Recently went with a family member to this location and it's nothing like it was when Ryan was there. After hearing my family member get scolded for driving unsafe and not coming in sooner (which was unknown to the customer) and that there's no way they can take the car home tonight (had been there about 3 hours), the next day they send them home with the same "unsafe" parts on the car. They weren't told of any issues until after it was too late to stop them for the night, it was too late to get a rental, and wasn't given the cost estimate until we were walking out the door. The cost was very expensive and seemed way too high, but they insisted this is with a discount. They also promised it would be ready first thing the next morning. I brought them to pick it up the next morning and the car was far from ready. Once completed the mechanic Kerry told him the cost was about half, as it turns out they didn't need to replace those "unsafe" parts after all. So the question is: did they want to increase their sales by doing work that wasn't necessary? Or were they trying to avoid a cost complaint and used the same parts that may be "unsafe"? Regardless, we won't be going back there after 25+ years of loyalty.

I had an appointment for an inspection on Monday, August 1. I met with Scott at the desk. He came back after about an hour telling me I needed breaks and a tire to pass inspection.He changed his tune a little when my husband (women have a hard time with people who work with cars) came in, but still insisted that the car could not pass inspection without over $500 WORTH OF WORK! He said they already took the inspection sticker off.When we told him that I could not leave the car overnight so they could do the work, he said that they didn't, in fact, take the sticker off and he let us go. This means they lied!!The next day, my car passed inspection at another shop with abolutely NO problems detected. This alsao means THEY LIED!This is a shady operation.

I had a tire with a slow leak and brought it into the Goodyear Tire Store on State St. in Schenectady without an appointment. Despite being extremely busy, Scott Pincher (Store Manager) squeezed me in and patched the tire. Neither he nor his sales advisor Sarah Rodger's tried to up-sell me to new tires. They were courteous, efficient, and reasonable. Very customer oriented. I'll need tires in the next year and I'll be buying them from Scott!

Update from 6/922After my previous review (below), Scott (the manager) reached out to me about my concerns. He understood why I was frustrated and gave me a partial refund as well as a coupon for a free oil change. We discussed my interactions with his staff, which he acknowledged needed to be improved. I was impressed by his responsiveness and his desire to maintain me as a customer and overall desire for customer satisfaction.I know that it has been a challenging time for businesses as whole in hiring staff and the automobile repair industry has been particularly challenged since they need trained employees. Based on today's visit, I am absolutely willing to give them another chance.Original Review (6/7/22)I have previously used this location and had good experiences, but I think they must be under new ownership, and their service was abysmal. I brought in my son's car for a free tire rotation and alignment check. First, they had no record of our appointment so what should have been a 30 minute appointment took most of the day. Then they could not get the lug nut off (even though the brakes had been changed last week so they were not rusted on) and then when trying to replace the studs, something stripped so they had to replace the hub as well. Net cost to me $320 for a free tire rotation. When I complained, they made no effort to improve the situation (like maybe discounting the labor). Needless to say, we won't be back.

Scott was a huge help when I was charged twice for my service because of a computer system issue the day of my service. I notified him as soon as I noticed the extra charge and he resolved the issue within 24 hours. He kept me informed of his progress and followed up to make sure my account was credited. I have been going to this Goodyear for many years and it has always been a great experience!

Amazing service - came in multiple times to get my car checked and Scott was incredibly helpful during all of those times. Last time I came in, they suggested doing my oil change and it was done right on the spot. Even made sure my oil change was cost efficient too! If you live in Schenectady/Niskayuna area, do yourself a favor and come here for all your car needs.

This was my second visit to this Goodyear location. Scott, once again, provided timely and knowledgeable service. The communication was great. I felt confident that my truck was being well cared for. I will definitely be back for any future maintenance needs.
