Have bought two brand new Toyota Rav4 here since 2017. Both cars came as advertised and have had no issues. The lobby is spacious and clean, and there is a large front desk to be greeted at. There is ample, comfortable seating and free doughnuts/coffee. Sales and service both do a good job and the staff is friendly. The lot is big & they usually have a better selection of new and used cars than the other Toyota dealerships around Albany.They have been a little pushy on warranty upsells during financing and recommended but not needed line items during service appointments. But once you advocate for yourself they are very accommodating and will work with you.The service appointments consistently take longer than expected. They will recommend a lot of not needed things during service. Without being a car enthusiast, it can be a little confusing as to what you should turn down and what you should go for.Overall I go here because I'm brand loyal to Toyota, they have the best selection of Toyota cars in the area, and they are pleasant enough not to scare me away.

This was a great experience all the way around with service. The waiting area makes your time have value. They text you quotes while waiting. It's spotless and the staff is friendly. It's the google of auto service. And they saved me money! They were fair and I enjoyed my wait.

Just bought my 2023 Tacoma from these guys and it was a top notch experience. Jim was a great sales guy and Andrew was awesome when it came to setting up the truck. I'll be rolling through for my future service needs even though it's out of my way because the experience was that good. Keep up the good work guys ????

I was able to get the car I wanted from a neighboring state through Lia Toyota without having to travel there. They buffed minor scratches out of the paint and did some touch up paint for me at no charge before I picked the vehicle up. They’re even going to repair a small dent on it at no expense to me, at a time when it’s convenient for me. The purchase process was simple and they were able to answer any questions I had. They explained all the paperwork as we went through it, which was appreciated. My salesperson was Jennifer Colon, I recommend her and I do recommend Lia Toyota of Colonie.

My partner and I bought a 2023 Camry TRD through Tom. Tom was very helpful, friendly, and easy to work with. Also Andrew the car educator was very knowledgeable and helpful with teaching us about the car and the options. I Would return to purchase another Toyota!

Lia Toyota service department deserves the best rating for across the board service and customer care. I have known Rick Grugan for many years and have always entrusted him with my vehicles. He is a dedicated professional that goes above and beyond keeping his customers happy. We recently had an issue with our 4Runner. Rick was able to put his best mechanic on it and isolated the issue and made repairs without breaking our bank. True dedication, service and support. All too often we are afraid to bring our vehicles to a dealership, fearing the worst. Lia Toyota is not like that and it shows in the workmanship and experience. While we were there we purchased four new tires that were priced lower than anywhere else. Definitely recommended for you service needs.

I was very disappointed by this business that was highly recommended to me. In February of 2022, we purchased a certified pre-owned RAV 4 (2018). We are a one-car family- we traded in both our cars for this purchase. We brought the car in for its first oil change, with no problems. The second oil change was around Christmas of 2022, and we were informed that the car needed all fluids replaced because "the previous owners never replaced them." This cost us $900, which we paid because we were told it was absolutely crucial. When asked why the fluids were not replaced at the time of purchase, the service person shrugged and said "They had no record of the previous owners servicing the vehicle." After returning home from the service, I looked through our paperwork from the purchase because they provided us with a detailed checklist of repairs/ checks they did for it to qualify for a certified pre-owned (and also charge us over $1000 extra for it to be a certified pre-owned at time of purchase). The list indicated that all fluid levels were checked, adequate, and in good condition. I tried to contact the service department a few times to ask more questions but was never able to reach anyone.Fast forward to today, July 5th (a year and a half from purchase!) we bring the car in for another routine oil change and the typical 75,000-mile check which included a complimentary inspection. Was expecting about $100 as listed by the website when I booked. They told us that we needed our brake pads, rotors, and serpentine belt all replaced because they were very close to being unusable, and all four tires needed to be replaced as well as a few filters. All this was to the tune of about $2300. This time, we asked them to do the service we asked for and nothing more and took the car to Monro Muffler for a second opinion because something did not sit right...Lo and behold, nothing is wrong with our breaks, our serpentine belt is NOT cracked as they told us and were impressed upon us how crucial it was to replace it because it would break at any time. The second mechanic stated that tires were a good idea to replace but not crucial, we opted to do so with them for $800. Had we done the serpentine belt with Monro, it would have cost us around $160, however, the mechanic stated it had at least a year left on it, most likely more, and was not cracked. If it had been replaced with Lia? $340 for just the belt and labor. I will never do business with this dealership again. I love Toyotas, but I will travel elsewhere to purchase my next car. The service department is dishonest and overcharges for repairs that are unnecessary. I'm glad we decided to seek a second opinion as it saved us around $1700 in unnecessary repairs for a car we bought FROM LIA 1.5 years ago and put on less than 10,000 miles. Do not do business with this company.

I thought bait and switch was illegal and a thing of the past. Not here apparently. I was called to tell me that a new van like what I wanted was on the lot and available. After an hour at the dealership the next morning, it was no longer available. However, they had another van coming in six weeks that I could have. It listed at $2700 more with options I had specifically said I did not want. This old time dealer game playing does not go on everywhere, but Lia seems to have not moved away from it.

Quick and easy experience with Tom! Everyone there treated me like family. Andrew gave me a thorough tour of my new car and all the features. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend Lia!

We recently purchased a RAV4 Prime at Lia Toyota of Colonie. Jennifer Colon was our salesperson. Jenn treated us with respect and friendliness at all times (even during a tough negotiation process) and helped us seal the deal we were looking for. After our purchase, Andrew enthusiastically showed us the various tech features of our car. We will certainly return to this dealership for any future car purchases.

These guys are absolutely terrible and a mess. I've given them a couple chances, since everyone has bad days. But these guys mess up every time. Called ahead to preorder parts for my car, got there on my appointment date and they hadn't even placed the order for the parts, even though I was assured over the phone they had. Even something as simple as an inspection is a headache. The person inspecting my car left for a lunch break halfway through without telling me, leaving me waiting for hours wondering what was going on. Avoid these incompetent assholes.

Please avoid Lia Toyota Body shop. My truck was delayed by 3 weeks then returned with some of the repairs left incomplete. The reason for the review is the dishonesty. Part of the repair included the front grill be replaced. The original part came in damaged from Toyota. Instead of ordering a replacement the body shop tried to cover up the repair by glueing the pieces back together on the inside of the grill. On the outside it looked new but the inside had a chunk missing and loaded with glue. I only found this out because the headlight was incorrectly installed and I had to remove the grill to change the headlight/bulbs. Now if they had told me that they did this as a temporary fix until the new grill arrived and swapped it with a new one later I would have been ok with it. Instead they sold the broken repaired part as OEM factory new replacement and tried to cover it up. If they hadn’t messed up the other things on the truck I would never have known what they tried to get away with. I then had to source my own grill from another dealer and finish the repairs myself. There was several other problems with the experience but this was the most severe. Mistakes happen but the dishonesty and trying to cover it up is not acceptable.
