My 3 year old daughter reported to another teacher that she was hit buy a teacher and it was swept under the rug. My daughter came home with a bruise on her hip and was still insisting that it was from a teacher hitting her.

Have been with Maple Leaf for two years now with two of our children. Director Raj is always so responsive, compassionate, and respectful of any questions or concerns brought to her. The center has such a cozy family feel which is exactly what we were seeking in a childcare center after using a large, cold and “factory” feeling place before we found Maple Leaf. Staff turn over is a reality in childcare but I feel it has been much reduced at Maple Leaf. We are very happy with this center and have had positive experiences in all of their rooms infant to pre-k.

When my daughter was born, we went to register at Maple Leaf. Unfortunately, they were full, so we went to another provider in the Guilderland area. A few weeks later, Maple Leaf called me to say a spot had opened, and I declined since I already had a provider. What a mistake. I wish I had switched to Maple Leaf when I had the chance. When the other provider continued to disappoint us time and again, I finally pulled her out and went to Maple Leaf. What a pleasure it was. Raj, the director, is dedicated, she is responsive and wonderful to work with. All of the teachers in the four year old room were absolutely remarkable.Maple Leaf is not a "day care", it's an early learning center. They teach the kids, they do a large variety of activities, they have a great playground and the teachers all care about the kids, and care about their future. The tuition is quite reasonable, they provide lunches and snacks and they went above and beyond in dealing with my daughter's very many food allergies. They also have very fair policies and unlike the daycare I got saddled with, Maple Leaf does NOT prioritize money over the kids or the parents. They also make excellent use of the Daily Connect app and website so throughout the day you can see what your child is up to, what activities they are doing, what they are learning, what they are eating and they post a picture as well. They also keep in constant communication through the app.Again, it was a pleasure and I only wish my daughter had been there the entire time.

I have 2 children that have gone to the Guilderland Maple Leaf location for several years (they are still enrolled). They have been going to this location prior to the pandemic and throughout.I can not say enough good things about how well my children have been treated the entire time. Maple Leaf and their dedicated management and staff have treated my children with kindness, compassion, and professionalism throughout. They always greet you with a warm smile and you can feel comfortable that your children will be in safe hands. If you need to get ahold of anyone they always pick up the phone. They are very responsive and understanding to any reasonable parent concern or request. In short this is a fantastic, well run and professional child care center.

The kids, parents and other staff were great! As a former employee I had issues with the director(Rajshree DiLorenzo) from the very beginning. I gave my bank information 3 different times for direct deposit and in 3 months never had a check deposited. The final time my bank info was entered wrong so it took a while to receive that check. I had also never been so sick consecutively before until starting there. I believe sick children were let into the center and not sent home. Children whos siblings had covid were able to still attend and did not wear masks. It took almost a month to receive my last two checks. NYS law states that an employee must receive their last check on the last payday and this was not the case. I have accrued sick time since working there and have yet to be paid for that. The center could be amazing if run correctly, but they are also understaffed to the point of having to make parents wait in the hall for another teacher to show up. As a parent I'd recommend any other daycare. As someone looking for work, if you want to be paid on time don't opt for direct deposit, be weary of discrepancies with paperwork, and keep on them about those issues as they are slow to take action.UPDATE: 15 days had passed and I heard nothing about being paid for the sick time I earned. I sent another message and it's been 11 days now with no word. Very unprofessional.

I will start by saying this review has absolutely nothing to do with the teachers, as they are trying their best with the resources given. This also has nothing to do with the children themselves. They are just being children. They need to be taught guidance, have structure and have boundaries with consequences for unsafe and unruly behaviors. I will say this... #1 Do not send your children to Maple Leaf Glenville. Infants I'm sure is fine, the teachers are great. And babies are just well, babies.#2 if you do have children enrolled there now, ASK QUESTIONS. Ask why there have been so many teachers in and out in such a short amount of time. Talk to your children about what goes on during their day. If they say something concerning, ask questions about it. This center is not equipped to handle children with challenging behaviors. It is at no fault of the children, I will miss them dearly, but the management and lack of experienced support that is to blame. This center needs to be honest with parents when their center is not the right fit for their child. They allow children who are struggling to continue to be enrolled here causing so much stress and chaos in the classroom from the teachers and the students. I was hired as a lead teacher, I did very little teaching while here. I had great plans, great behavior management ideas for the classroom, but the lack of support made it impossible for me to implement those plans. I know what is expected once these children start kindergarten as I came from working k-2 for eight years, specifically with behavioral support. This center is setting these children up for a very tough transition into elementary school.

My son has been going there for about 5 months and really enjoys it. His vocabulary and sentence structure has really improved. He loves the staff, especially Miss Megan. Everyone, including the director has been helpful and supportive. I don't feel they deserve such a low rating.

Absolutely awful. My one daughter got SO many diaper rashes. Which they failed to put cream on. They are so understaffed that they will wait until you are in the door to tell you that your kids can’t come in. My older daughter would come home telling me about the staff, who is dating who, who got fired for what.. completely unprofessional. They can’t seem to handle changing diapers. They will call you to come pick up your children if they won’t nap, need nails cut, or can’t change the diaper, which they are supposed to be trained to do.They don’t follow COVID guidelines, and are completely rude. If you try and express your concerns to them, they will kick your children out. I never EVER would recommend this place to anyone. This place has gone COMPLETELY down hill. It’s embarrassing. STEAR AWAY.
