I am happy about my inspection appointment, it was done pretty quick. I did not notice that my car tire had an impact bubble on the side wall which would have failed the NY Inspection until the technician showed me it. He said just change tire ASAP and "I GOT YOU", at the time I didn't understand that I was to pay him $40 as a tip for him to ignore my tire as a safety issue. I ended up tipping him $20 (and not $40), which i would have done it anyway. I am changing my tires ASAP, but if you wonder how many vehicles they would be passing inspection which would put people's safety on the line is mind boggling. I wouldn't be able to sleep with myself. The $40 they ask as a bribe, technically may end up costing someone's life. MIXED BAG here, if you have a vehicle that you know wouldn't pass inspection, this is the place to go.

Quoted me a price ~$150 cheaper than it was when I checked out. Lady working the counter was rude when I asked for clarification as to why I was paying more than they quoted me. Their price was better than others I found though.

The first time I went to this location foe an oil change I booked online and when I arrived, I was told that if I wanted to be seen in a timely manner I would have to call for a slot. That appointment took 3 hours - for an oil change. They were apologetic but assured me that if I gave them a call next time it would be better. I scheduled five days ahead of time by calling the office directly. When I brought my car in I was told it would take about an hour because they were understaffed. After a half hour in the waiting room my car was still in the parking lot and a customer who arrived well after me was being brought into the garage. I will not be going back to this location, if I ever bet on mavis again.

Chris and his team has been so helpful he changed my breaks ,rotors and caliper for a decent price I'm so happy with his work . Definitely will be back !!

Horrifying customer service experience which cost me 5 hours of my day today. Amy at the desk is not only rude and unprofessional but inaccurate about information she gives. Quoted me 2 hours for tire alignment and inspection. Fine. No big deal. Calls me 2 hours later after I’m trying to kill time to tell me I need new tires. At that time they did not start alignment or inspection, so it was going to take another 2 hours. She said it would still pass inspection, but since she had such bad attitude I didn’t feel like waiting for inspection anymore. She calls me back to tell me my car is ready with the same attitude snippy/making snarky pretentious remarks like she is better than you or knows more than you. I’ve worked customer experience for 10 years, never would I think about talking to a client like that. And my car failed inspection I ended up getting later. Will never return due to her service. I am sure techs know what they’re talking about but if you have to deal with her to get service done, it’s not worth it. Living nightmare.

I would do lower if I could. We’ve come here before with miscellaneous repairs, and scheduled an oil change for this morning. The minute we walked in, we were dismissed by the staff. Then he quoted us $110 for an oil change? Which seems crazy? Then we said that seems high for an oil change and he said “oh sorry, $90” so we decided to leave. Surely that’s incorrect? But the other gal who was working told us to go with him. Can someone who works here respond and tell me the actual price of an oil change there? This was a ridiculous waste of my time.

Literally was the first one there at 9 am. When they finally told the issue (which I knew about beforehand) at noon, they told me I had three cars in front of me. I only have one car, so I’m not going anywhere. Gave zero about it. What a better way than to waste my entire day there.

Okay ive been stuck in albany/ Schenectady for about 3weeks an mannn this was a process UNTIL I GOT TO THIS MAVIS. Mind you ive went to previous shops while being up here an nobody could take out this 1 lug nut. But when I got here it was professional the moment I got in. Chris was who I spoke to an he got me into the shop asap on top of that he got the lug nut out within 10 minutes. Emmy also was helpful because all the shops prior could not take out the lug nut so this shop seemed really confident an that helped alot. West cool dude he changed my tire with no problem an I can't be more then happy. Im not from albany im from queens ny so im far from home but anytime I mean anytime I come up here ill be coming to this mavis everytime for my car. Again thanks you guys

I had actually gone to the Ballston Spa location a week prior and they had charged me $42 did didn’t fix my leaking tire. These guys took me in, checked out my tire and had me on my way at no charge, because the other location had already marked the tire as needing a repair. Nice guys here.
