I purchased a living social voucher. When I attempted to use it an appointment was made for the following week. When I went to the location, it did not exist. When I called to find out the problem the woman hung up on me. After I got home I received a call with apologies and scheduled an appointment for the following week. When I got to the location they said I did not have an appointment. Someone from their other location contacted me and said I made the appointment for the following Saturday. A lie. After I got home I had a message on my phone to go back for an appointment an hour later. Waste my time and lie 2 weeks in a row. sorry no more chances. Got refund from living social and will let Atty General and BBB know of my very poor experience. Pathetic. Lori

I've really neglected getting my hair cut and was way overdue. I made an appointment with with this salon, and am very happy. The layers complement my curls whether I style my hair or leave it natural. It's very hard to find someone that knows how to cut curls, but Francesco knows what he's doing. I enjoyed my visit as he was also very likable and personable.

If I could give this salon a negative star rating, I would. I made an appointment with the owner, Francesco Parillo, to get highlights. What I walked out with were chunky sections of brassy hair that were located 3 inches away from my roots (See pictures below). I then called called him to tell him I was very dissatisfied with his work and asked if he could fix it. He told me to come back Saturday morning where I then spent 4 HOURS in the salon for him to utterly destroy my hair (See pictures below). He highlighted every single layer of my hair, so by the time he got to the top, the bottom foils had been sitting for over 2 hours. He put some weird, super harsh toner in my hair that burned my scalp and only made the situation worse by bleaching some parts to almost white blonde and the rest was left orange. He washed out the product and brought me to the chair for me to see the "finished" product. I could hear him saying it looked "perfect" under his breath to himself. He blowdried for 1 minute before I asked him to stop and expressed my concern. He was 0% apologetic, mortified by his mistake, or helpful as I was crying in his seat because he had destroyed my hair. The other very sweet woman, Elon, that worked there looked at my hair and told him what she would have done differently and proceeded to explain reasons why it turned out so badly. The young woman was explaining this to THE OWNER OF THE SALON. I truly believe someone with that level of incompetence should not have a cosmetology license. I'm entirely confused how he even let this happen and I demanded a refund. If you care about the health and look of your hair, don't let Francesco Parillo put a single finger on your head. The ONLY reason someone should schedule an appointment there is to see Elon, the lovely girl who threw an extra $20 my way out her own tips because I was so distraught. I drove straight to my hometown (3 hours away) to get my hair fixed by someone who actually knows what they're doing. Paul Mitchell Focus Salon is a complete and total waste of time and money.
