Mo was so friendly and kind! It was my first time selling a car and he made the process so simple. He was very open and honest about pricing, and was very accommodating with my schedule. As someone who does not know very much about cars, I felt respected the entire time I was there - whereas at other dealerships I have felt spoken down to or like I was being scammed. 10/10 recommend his shop and Mo!

I strongly caution anyone against doing business with Spot Auto. My experience was not only frustrating but also a glaring example of unethical and careless practices.
First, the process was unnecessarily invasive. I’ve purchased vehicles before and never had to jump through the hoops they required—personal references, contacting my HR department, and other intrusive steps. Still, because of my situation, I proceeded.
On the day I went to pick up the vehicle—scheduled a week in advance— and took off time from work to make sure that I would be able to just go in and out and pick it up however it wasn’t even ready. I waited two to three hours before finally getting the car, only to find out later that it was riddled with issues. They put used tires on the vehicle, and I ended up sliding off the road the next week when it snowed and getting into a fender bender with another vehicle because of these tires that had barely enough tread to even pass. When I went to go get the tires changed the mechanic said I don't know how these tires passed inspection. After driving only three to four thousand miles, I discovered they hadn’t even changed the oil, as in there was no oil in the engine whatsoever. Now I can understand a vehicle that has extremely high mileage having this issue, but the vehicle only had just over 70,000, mi when I purchased it. So it didn't have an oil consumption issue nor was the model that I purchased known for having oil consumption issues, despite slapping an inspection sticker on it. The fact that SS Auto Repair 1331 Albany St Schenectady NY 12304 passed this vehicle for inspection is suspicious at best—it seems like they’re doing each other favors at the expense of customers’ safety.
To make matters worse, the owner 'Moe' offered me $100 as an “apology” for the inconvenience which I knew was an admittance of guilt. While this might seem like a goodwill gesture, it felt more like an attempt at karmic absolution—a way to sidestep accountability by offering a token gesture or being “upfront” about their actions. This mindset is deeply troubling and rooted in an occult or satanic belief system. Regardless of whether you believe in God or not, the idea that wrongdoing can be justified by making it visible or offering partial compensation is absurd. Harm is harm, and karmic retribution doesn’t just disappear because you admit to or try to smooth over unethical behavior.
I’m sharing this experience to warn others. Businesses like Spot Auto rely on complacency and apathy to get away with practices that jeopardize customers’ safety and trust. Don’t fall victim to their shortcuts, negligence, and manipulative tactics. If you value your safety, integrityand peace of mind, stay far away from Spot Auto.

my experience at Spot auto was awesome. I was in the market for a new car and they made sure I found the perfect one to fit me. It was the easiest process of buying a car I’ve ever been through. The communication was great and seem less process! They even brought my registration to me when it came in the mail! I would recommend spot auto to everyone and will be a repeating costumer!

Even words cannot describe how great my experience was at Spot Auto. I never write reviews and I’m taking the time out for this place so you know it’s the real deal lol! I literally love them. They treated me like family. It was my first time buying a car and it’s not easy! Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. He made the whole process so smooth and less stressful for me. Everything was in his hands and I wouldn’t want it to be in anyone else’s. Even moving forward I will always look for Kyle when I’m buying a car. He bust his a** in that shop everyday to get me a yes from the bank! When he called me with the good news I literally cried thinking, NO WAY. You can tell when someone’s working to make you happy and that’s him. Very trustworthy and honest. Thank you so much Kyle again seriously! <3. Everyone in the shop thank you also. Mo, Tim! Very good people and me and my family will always look to you guys with the car buying process. My Volkswagen Tiguan is beautiful and I love it so much! No problems whatsoever. They make sure of it. I got my car here in May/June, a used civic, and have had to bring it back four times since. The price was fair, but the amount of time I've gone without my car is ridiculous. After they had claimed to fix the same problems multiple times, now, in October, the same exact issues are happening again and I'm going to have to spend more money to get it fixed at a professional mechanics. I am a full-time college student and a full-time pre-school teacher who does not have time for the same BS over and over again from this place. Kyle is super nice, but whatever techs they use are absolutely horrendous and have made this whole process a waste of mine, my parents, and anyone associateds' time. If you buy from here for the love of God have them quadruple check your car.
