I had a great experience with Senior Banker, Shameeza Baksh. She was extremely helpful with us and would call almost daily to make sure our process was running smoothly. Although there were many difficulties through our process, Shameeza was the person I felt comfortable going to with our questions. Great person and great communicator!

Really is unfortunate that the staff here is so abrasive. It's just a nice location and I have been coming to this branch every Friday oand Saturday for awhile.Today was unfortunateI came for my business to get change for the weekend. The bank teller asked if I had an account. I said yes, she didn't verify so I figured it's just protocol.I asked for singles and 5s and she was shocked , rudely asking "is this for a business"I replied yesShe counted the money and loosely handed me stacks of unwrapped bills.I asked if it could be wrapped and she handed me rubber bandsI asked if she could wrap them with the actual money wraps and then she handed me money wraps. It was like she had no problem throwing money at me but didn't want to do her job and insure the amount is there.

Please DO NOT bank here! I had the most horrible experience of my life with this bank. After moving to the area two years ago this is the closest bank to my place of employment so I decided to open an account here. After having the account 6 months I accidentally threw my debit card in the trash. I was told 7 to 10 business days I would be receiving my replacement card in the mail. They do not offer temporary bank cards, so I ended up going 3 full weeks withdrawing cash as I needed it, until I asked why I haven't received my card yet. This was the first time I had interaction with the bank manager Shameeza Baksh. She was a bit rude but after realizing the inconvenience of not having a bank card for over 3 weeks has caused me, she felt obligated to do expedited shipping (which she didn't give me the option of when I initially lost my card). I received my card 3 days later but this left a bad taste in my mouth not just about Trustco in general but mainly the management. Fast forward a year and a half later- I had no issues, I've never had less than 1000 dollars in my account, and certainly never over drafted. I rarely went in the branch unless it was to use the atm because I had direct deposit. Somehow my bank card/account had been compromised. I went from having 2500 in my account to being negative 450 and not once was I notified of abnormal bank activity. I went into the bank as instructed to by customer service to speak with the branch manager. I patiently waited 45 minutes for her to be available to speak with me, I was very calm and polite although I immediately sensed her petulant demeanor. We went over a few transactions, some of which I recognized but others I was unsure of. I asked her if I could have a print out of everything so I could go over them all. She rolled her eyes and explained in order to give me a print out of that she would have to open up a screen individually and print each transaction and since that would take such a long time I would have to come back the next day. So I agreed, when I arrived the next day she immediately was her usual negative attitude as if I was an annoyance, not a valued client. She then began to ask me which transactions were fraudulent, I told her I was unsure, I needed to go over them individually, hence why I asked for a print out. She then replied by saying "well I sat here with you yesterday and went through 60 charges, most of which you admitted were you!", I couldn't believe my ears. That is not at all what I said. She then began to tell me "listen, I don't know what you want me to do, I'm not the one who used your bank card!"... what kind of bank manager responds to situation that way? My entire bank account was in the negative, I have always been in good standing with the bank and this is how I'm treated? How on earth is that even remotely okay or professional? I had just got paid so I withdrew the few hundred dollars from my account (after what was taken out for over draft fees on transactions that were fraudulent). She wouldnt even withdraw the money for me, she said to get in line and wait to be called by a teller. I get called over by a boy named Matthew who is rolling his eyes and giving me a snarky attitude. Almost as if he was trying to add fuel to the fire as she was glaring over from her desk condoning this type of disrespect from her tellers to a client. I felt stripped of my livelihood and disrespected on so many levels by the branch employees and the bank manager Shameeza. She did not try to rectify the issue, instead she gave me attitude and blamed me for everything. I have since been in touch with corporate and they are currently investigating my case and have assured me I will get my funds back. I have also since closed my account. To avoid going through this kind of nightmare do NOT banking here! The tellers are rude, the head teller felisha has the NASTIEST attitude, never smiles or greets you. Absolutely zero customer service! Which is understandable since the ha

Trustco, a shady bank. First off, their mortgages are very competitive. Rates are low and no PMI is a huge plus. But this bank is stuck in the late 90s and early 2000s as far as money accounts go. Their online banking system is archaic, slow and difficult to use. But the biggest issue is the shady fees and penalties with no warnings. Ive been with the bank for a decade with my mortgages. They've made a ton of interest off me in that time and thats fine. Recently however, without a warning, letter or email, and out of no where, they changed their checking account rules in so that you must have an average running balance of $500 a month or u get a 5 dollar fee tacked on per month. I rarely check my checking account because this account is strictly to deposit money for my auto pay mortgage each month. So I was angry when I realized how many fees accumulated over the months. They also refused to refund any of it.

Don't go there. They are mean and nasty. Especially headteller Felicia . I don't even know what her problem is but she was mean and rude because I ask few questions. Been with trustco over 10 and never have issues with anyone else. Only that branch. It don't hurt to smile and say thank you. She clearly don't want to be there.

-Very poor service. -Their system took more than a week business days to update a single deposit. I wasn't aware of that so I paid some expenses and my account was on overdraft. I was charged $35 then $39 fee. Then my deposit finally went into my account. They never refund me for the overdraft. It's their system fault. -Withdrawing people's money from savings to cover expense without authorization. -Rude guyanese woman that doesn't listen properly to what you want. -They withdrew over 1200 from my savings and put it in someone's account MISTAKENLY. Opened a new account; and found out there's 4 cards for that account. From which i only had one. The 3 i had to call them to deactivate those. So NOT CONFIDENTIAL WITH YOUR MONEY!
