It was very convenient. We went at 6pm and the virtual manager was super helpful with helping us set up to move our stuff into the unit and when we were ready to move out we did it online

Fast and easy, walked right in and was able to lease a unit right away. We were able to look at the unit and everything was explained to us thoroughly. Lovely customer service!

I had a great experience from start to finish. I cannot remember the lady at the front desks name that assisted me, but, she was super helpful and friendly. I got a good rate and am happy with my service.

Xtra Room Secured Storage is owned by the behemoth Prime Storage, one of, if not the largest storage unit companies in the U.S. - and it shows in the worst possible ways. They are obviously hyper-focused on the short-term bottom line.
* They hire the dregs of the workforce (likely because they pay at the bottom of the wage scale) - and this is revealed by the dismissive and abrasive attitude they all deal with their customers.
* They are ill prepared for winter weather in the Northeast. Their gates are often stuck and left open during & after snowfalls. The result is one's unit is anything BUT SECURED!
* As noted above, snow seems to be their Achilles heal. When they plow they leave the snow pile in front of every unit door - much like at the end of driveways - rendering one's unit inaccessible. And don't bother to complain to employs as they are prepared with a well rehearsed corporate speech denying any and all responsibility.
* And let's not forget they raised their monthly rates by 168% in less than 3 months! That's insane by any commercial standards!
I have quite literally never been happier to part ways with a company. Bottom line? Run, don't walk away from dealing with them!!!
