“We took our two newly adopted adult cats for their first checkup. Since we just moved to Schuylerville this was our first time here, too. The staff and the doc were all wonderful. We didn't feel rushed. The cats were nervous but everyone got along just fine. It's great to have such wonderful caring people to keep our furry friends healthy.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would!I took our horse there for a lameness exam and a second opinion. Dr. Steve and his staff were all so nice to us. They took their time to explain everything and get a plan going for our horse. He answered all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed or like he was trying to talk me into unnecessary things. Leaving I felt great and like I actually had a plan for my horse. They were also so sweet to my daughter. Great experience!”

“Vets are great, but I got mixed messages about bringing my feral/ indoor/ outdoor cat in for his first check up. One person told me to bring him when I was successful getting him in the crate, another said there was no guarantee he could be seen on short notice.”

“I have been with Hoof n Paw since 2012 when I rescued my little girl. I live almost 45 minutes, if not more, away from the office and it's worth the drive. Not only is Dr. Kittel warm and friendly, but he is caring and does not push any unnecessary testing or treatments. I could easily go to another place that is much closer to home, but I know I will never get the care we receive at Hoof n Paw.”

“It is so easy to contact a vet even on the weekends. I truly appreciate how well they explain everything to us. I can call and the vet will actually call me back. I can email pictures for diagnoses and the vet will look at them and discuss treatment options. Would 100% recommend Battenkill Veterinary Bovine to anyone with cattle.”

“Today I had to unfortunately put my dog to sleep she was 11 and suffering in pain and loosing control of her bowels. I called every vet today to see if I could bring her in as I never want my animal to live in pain. No vet would take her and gave me the number for here and they were so sweet especially Gabby! They explained everything thoughly and she went peacefully in my arms. Im getting her cremated it was a little pricey but the care and compassion was worth every penny. Thank you guys!”

“In February 1999 my brother passed as a result of a snowmobile accident. Two days after my brothers funeral, my horse got severely injured with a devastating eye injury. The wonderful group of people at Pond Hill Stables found me to share the news. They had called Battenkill to tell them we were coming with an equine injury. As soon as the trailer pulled in they had a 5 plus team waiting for my boy. We discussed the 3 options to recover with as Baileys eye would have to come out. They explained everything with compassion yet did not sugarcoat anything. The Stables had shared that my brother had just passed. While in surgery they keep me informed. Bailey survived surgery and was recovering well. He passed as a result of a blood clot. The staff were very upset as they hoped he could go home the following day. Yet, they were just as worried about me. I can't say enough regarding Baileys team. All staff were just as wonderful. They gave me a gift that I will forever be grateful. If I could give them more than 5 stars!”

“We had a not so great experience at a different vet earlier in the day. Our dog was clearly in pain. I stopped in and spoke with the receptionist who was extremely kind. At this point in the day I was on the verge of tears. They were so sweet, they were able to squeeze us in, for an additional charge which was totally understandable considering it considered an emergency appointment.Dr. butler and his team treated our scared guy so well. They were all patient and understanding. He explained everything to us so it made sense and not only eased our concerns but our dog was more comfortable after he left.I am so grateful for them! We are for sure life long clients from this point on!”

“I have 5 rescue cats, all of which have had continued vet care. My most recent rescue was a kitten. My regular vet office wasn't able to help me with this kitten, but Dr. Jolie didn't hesitate to help. She went above & beyond what any other vet had ever done for me & my pets. She helped me to give this little guy (who was very sick) the best possible life he could have. Unfortunately, despite her dedication, loving & deeply caring heart, he passed away 1/11/22.It was very obvious I had found the most caring vet & staff any animal lover could ask for, Binx left behind 4 older brothers (cats) & a sister who's a Goldendoodle, they were best friends & she hasn't stopped looking for him.His brothers will now have continued vet care with Dr. Jolie, as will his best dog friend. To Dr. Jolie, I can't thank you enough for everything you did & tried to do for Binx. His four cat brothers & dog sister are looking forward to having you as their forever vet. RIP Binx, you are so very missed & forever loved.”
