was just lied to straight to my face by an employee. unreal. well…that’s one way to put a damper on my day. ($20 for a day pass is a scam, do better.)

This new phone system, makes it impossible to call any of the facilities.. with different programs going on I'd like to know what areas are open being that I have a family plan.. If pool or gym are open both are valid reasons to call before I drive.. well the phones ring once followed by silence or an automated voice telling you about everything but no connection to staff at desired facility I think it's terrible and needs to be fixed.. my kids learned to swim at the Y now they can barely get in with the Soo many limits on time allowed for Members who want to swim

If you want to be able to work out while your kids play in the gym or the pool, think again. They are not allowed without parents in any room, and the Glenville branch does not provide daycare during all open pool/gym hours except between hours. Only between 4:30-6:30 on weekdays for infants to 5 year olds… nothing on weekends. Don’t advertise as a “family GYM” when parents can’t actually exercise while their kids are doing activities. What do single parents do? They can’t workout and watch their kids at the same time. Do better or don’t even offer and make people pay for a family plan.

Excellent customer service and "small town" atmosphere. Even though the facility is a bit older they do a nice job making you feel at home and making sure classes and programs run smoothly. Lots of options for preschool age children during the day, after work, and weekends. Kiddie pool is awesome for the little ones to play in, especially when it is cold outside. Aquatics team is top notch! They have a babysitting room that you can sign your kids up for while you work out as well. Check it out if you haven't already!

We were very new to the area and wanted to find somewhere to work out so we decided to try out the Y because it was close to work, had a pool, and the workout facilities were not too crowded. We did not feel very welcome from the start, it was made clear that this was a family focused center and I guess as a younger couple without children we did not fit the clientele. We worked out here for about a month and while the workout facilities were clean, the machines were always in good working order, and the plentiful sanitation bottles were appreciated; there was typically the same person at the front desk whose frosty service made us feel unwelcome/uncomfortable. We have since switched gyms and also noticed the membership fees elsewhere are more reasonable.

Great swimming lessons program, and facilities. My Son loves it. Prices are a little steep.

I like this Glenville YMCA. They have three indoor swimming pools, a regular swimming pool where you can go lap swimming, a small kiddie swimming pool and a heated swimming pool. They have a gym, and a exercise room. I came here November 6, with my friend Nelson. I see this YMCA closes early on Saturdays at 2 pm

Clean facilities, friendly staff. Treadmills need to be updated though... Being a larger guy (255 lbs) I've noticed the Treadmill belts will stick and stop once I start running... Also won't speed up past 6mph. Could cause an injury to someone.

The Greater Glenville Family YMCA is a great place. Over the last several years they have been doing a wonderful job of making building improvements that have helped this Y serve its members better. During the summer this Y holds a daycamp (7am-6pm) for many children in various age groups. The facility director and crew have worked very hard to make this Y capable of efficiently serving these additional members while maintaining the same high level of service for its year long members. Yes, there is more activity in and around the YMCA and the pool is busier than during the school year, but it's definitely not chaotic. The campers are not allowed in the fitness center. This area is well maintained and has an impressive selection of fitness equipment. The staff are very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful if help is ever needed. I've enjoyed being a member here for many years. My son grew up using this facility. I have seen many changes happen over the years and I am so happy this place is part of my life.

Convenient facility that is a little outdated. The pool is nice and the weight room was recently updated.

Smells musty and needs to be updated. When they host camp there the place is over run with kids everywhere. This upsetting when I pay for a membership. People dont adhere to the diaper policy in the pool I saw a boy pee while standing in the kid pool and the lifeguard didn't seem to care.

Not a bad YMCA. The pool in the locker rooms were very clean however the women’s locker room does not have a door closing to the outside hallways also the locker rooms don’t walk directly into the pool area which is why it doesn’t get 5 stars
