We ordered some samples for our bedroom and finally decided on a color. When we ordered the gallon it was a few shades lighter than the sample, and even though the gallon matched the paint chip exactly we wanted the darker shade that the sample reflected. We came back in twice to get our gallon tinted darker until it perfectly matched the sample. We really appreciated how willing they were to work with us to get the color we wanted even though I’m sure it was inconvenient and probably annoying for them (not that they ever showed it).

I needed professional help after I used 100% silicone caulk, realized too late that it is unpaintable, then used internet guidance and painted over the caulk with oil based paint. It was dumb of me to do, but I was rushing to get a bathroom painted for my wife before next weekend.
Although I was hoping for a ‘miracle’ remedy, what I got was down to earth, realistic, friendly and understandable help from Village Paint. It was explained that I need to leave everything alone for a week so the oil paint dries hard, then use a caulk removal tool to get rid of the silicone caulk. I was given the type of caulk that I should have used, and Ben Moore’s best paint, Aura, which I’ve used before and love it.
I am extremely grateful for the help I received. It was exactly what I needed.
And, lesson learned - ‘do it right the first time or put in three times the work to fix it’ (my quote).

Over the past twenty years, I've bought Benjamin Moore paint at Village Paint for the decorating needs of our home. I've always been very pleased with the quality of the paint and with the service at Village Paint. Recently, I was trying to touch up a very small spot, and the sample I purchased for the job was significantly darker than the original paint. Perplexed, I went to the store. Gary was wonderfully helpful! He mixed a new sample (also too dark), then worked to refine a solution, which was mixing a little white paint w/ the sample, till we found a perfect match. Very kind of Gary to take the time to help me w/ this dilemma. Thank you for excellent service! You can be sure that I'll be back when I need more paint!

During a full home renovation I decided to buy my paint from a small local business and chose village paint. The younger man in the store was very polite and helpful. While doing touch ups, I bought a small can of the bedroom color but received a color that was off. I went in to the store to get the correct color however the other gentleman was very condescending and refused to correct the color. In the end I asked for my money back because he would not give me matching paint. I had to travel out of town to a chain store to finish my touch ups.

I'm a new-patron to this legacy business, visiting three times this summer & early fall. I've only purchased a few cans of spray paint each visit to Village Paint, but with the attentive service I received during each shopping trip, you'd think I was a long time customer who redecorates often. Not only was the staff warm and friendly, they went beyond the basic "are you finding everything" question and made me feel like they truly wanted to help find what was right for me. They asked questions about the craft projects I was working on and clarified my desired end results to be sure I had the correct products for my needs. BONUS points awarded: my Midwestern heart was happy to find bags of Dot's pretzels for sale at the register, too :) The great experiences I've had for my small shopping trips have secured me as a long-time customer. I've recommended Village Paint to a few friends in the midst of their own Fixer Up'ers and will for sure use them for our own decorating needs in the future, too.

They helped me 10 years ago with my old house and I’m traveling 40 minutes to purchase my paint and supplies from them again in my new house. Nobody anywhere knows what they know and I trust them to help me with decisions. The quality of the service, knowledge and product can’t be beat!
