“My early experiences with the store weren't so great because I felt I was being pushed to buy more expensive products from commision-based sales reps. A recent encounter however changed my perspective on the store as I felt free to explore it's merchandise and refer to the sales rep if I had any questions, which is how shopping should be. (Side note: I'm not fan of the commision-based sales model. I beleive causes staff members to become too aggresive and more willing to hoodwink customers into buying things they don't really need, which in turn will cause the customer to view the business negatively.) The sales rep in store that day was very helpful and I was impressed with his knowledge of the merchandise which ultimately breaks down to a lot of complex bio-chemistry. I was also pleased to see GNC adopting more plant-based organic protien formulas. A few years ago I would have given the store 3 stars, but my recent experience bumps it up a star.”
