Fantastic staff all around. Front desk was super nice. Patricia helped me with my payments and explained my insurance. She was very kind. The doctor was extremely pleasant and took her time to really get my prescription right. Great experience! I will be using this store for the future

The staff was exceptional but I found the offerings of the glasses to be lacking. Nevertheless, obviously I did choose a pair but try someplace else in the future. Again, thank you to the staff.

Visionworks has completely failed in their responsibility to provide proper eye care. After receiving glasses that were not in focus, I was refused further assistance, despite multiple attempts to get them checked. The front desk staff obstructs access to doctors, using excuses that they aren’t medical professionals, yet they refuse to schedule appointments with the actual doctors. This is a clear failure of duty of care.
Their refusal to address my vision concerns violates basic medical ethics and their responsibility to ensure correct prescriptions. They are putting patients at risk by not fulfilling their obligations, and their unprofessional attitude compounds the issue. Visionworks is failing in their duty to provide proper medical service and has shown complete disregard for patient welfare.

The staff were very attentive They stuck to my budget and no high-pressure sales. I was very happy with the selection of eyeglasses to choose from. They knew more about my insurance than I did. I’m always very happy here.

I was treated as if they are selling RETAIL to me and NOT my medical eye prescription! They ACCEPT OPTICAL Insurance and yet they “tweak” my contact prescription bc the brand that they use is discontinued!!! Wait it gets better… I went in for annual exam (about 13th ata I’ve been going there) order trail and paid for 6mts! I waited about 2 weeks I received a call to come in to pick up and when I get there it’s only Left EYE, I leave and come back and receive another call to come in and they made a mistake contact isn’t in! I wait another I believe 2 weeks not going on almost 5weeks!
I call the wrong Visionworks by accident yet they are able to figure out what the problem was and called them myself! I was So upset and taken back by how I’ve been treated! This is a medical situation me not having any contacts at all! Yet they don’t care! They were paid my insurance and me!
I had to call yet I waited a couple of days to see if ANYONE WOULD CALL ME… you know something called professionalism and good customer service WHICH THEY LACK!!
They women i spoke to said she my axis of my prescription was discontinued so they “tweak” my axel for my stigmatism!!! Are you serious!!! Offer bother for my weeks of no contact no communication nothing they didn’t care!!!!!! At all!!! So basically I paid for contact with a prescription that isn’t MY TRUE script no matter which way you spin it!!!
This is not ok!! I will figure out a way to SUE THEM! I have been here for over 13 years with my family of 5! No MORE! Ever!
This will posted on all social media platforms and I’m repaint to BBB and NeWS12!

Don’t plan of spending less than 3 hours waiting here. Not sure why appointments are made if they are ignored. No one tells you anything and you need to complain after 3 hours just to get seen. Manager Joan did nothing. Walked back and forth ignoring everyone until you complain.

I had a great experience. It was easy to make appointment and did not waste time waiting to be seen. Doctor and assistant were professional and caring and made me comfortable.

I went in to this business 20 minutes early after receiving no less than 5 texts or emails reminding me to be on time. After one hour and five minutes I still did not see the dr. I could see into the drs office she was sitting for 5 plus minutes each time she saw a patient, this I believe was causing the long delays. Upon going to the receptionist to re schedule I waited my turn. When I started to re schedule an outside vendor walked over and started conducting business with the receptionist leaving me again waiting. After telling both of them how rude they were I walked out. I would not recommend this business at all. Long waits to see the dr and there were many people done seeing the doctor sitting and waiting for the one customer service person who assists you with getting glasses. The whole operation is understaffed and unprofessional. Save yourself headaches and find a different Davis vision provider.

I scheduled an appointment however once confirmed I was informed that it was a telemedicine appointment which I did not realize when scheduling my appointment.
The ease of having this visit virtual only worked well with the doctor but did not work well with me. I still had to come into the store but the doctor was not actually there. The set-up was not that supportive to a physician’s not actually being present. The patient then had to see 4 DIFFERENT people in addition to the virtual doctor. The patient then had to wait yet again to check out. The overall experience took more time than had it been with just one physician. The personal approach to this visit was just so far removed that I don’t feel confident in my results. No explanation or introduction by the actual physician. As a healthcare professional myself, this was so unprofessional.
The only saving grace to this appointment was that of the people friendly behavior by the staff before (upon testing) and after (upon discharge). The courteous demeanor almost made up for the horrible behavior of the physician who did not provide any explanation.

Yes this a 1 star review. Went there because I had insurance via the union at my new job. Showed up, found a great pair of frames, had an excellent comfortable exam with a knowledgeable optometrist. Requested the Rx and pupillary distance for additional leaded glasses that my employer would pay for (they are extremely expensive for radiation protection at work which Davis does not sell to my knowledge). The optometrist told me that they would measure my pupillary distance by a staff member out front. After waiting my turn I politely asked the manager what next steps were, then this woman (who was with her own client) starts barking from 10 feet behind the manager that I couldn't have that done here because I wasn't getting glasses there and something about her license. I politely told the manager that I did not feel welcomed here and I in-fact wanted the Avio blue frames and that the Rx and measurements were for additional glasses at work. The manager looked so embarrassed and red in the face over this employee. Then the manager starts telling me politely that they will make an exception for me. Exception for what? This just made it worse. The whole store got quiet with lots of customers over this other employee. I told the manager I am never coming back here ever again. I went to Warby Parker which is my usual go to. What a disaster at Davis. Never again. I only went because it was supposed to be hassle-free with the insurance at Davis.
