Not a fan of the way the owner treated the employees. In the shelter island reporter there was a lawsuit again this place for physical assault. Overpriced and not really that good. Lower the prices.

Want to love this place but... Take-out offerings (pastries, sandwiches, soups) are decent. Myriad prepared foods (frozen, refrigerated) for sale along with a limited selection of fruit and produce. However the prices are OUTRAGEOUS and the unapologetic and surly owner takes full advantage of it being on an island. A cadre of wealthy & entitled patrons will carry her into the promised land so don't expect the prices or the experience to improve anytime soon.

Overpriced. Obnoxious staff and owner. I've never seen such a horrid place in my family's 100 years on Shelter Island.

Food is delicious. Price is atrocious. Owner is notorious. Not coming back is obvious.

Food was fantastic with a great touch of unique and fresh ingredients. It was raining so would like to return and eat overlooking the water

Love this place so much! Everything in there is good and the staff is amazing. I finished some school work and enjoyed the water view.

We so enjoy this little gem of a market!!! Marie has the highest quality of food of any place on shelter Island, and probably the East End. We ride from Sag Harbor on our bikes at least once a week for a latte and an egg sandwich. Nobody else makes an egg sandwich anything close to hers. She has the highest standard for quality all organic eggs and even in her latte she uses organic milk which no one else does. Marie is one of the hardest working people in the Hamptons! She has clothing, stores, furniture, stores in SHELTER ISLAND, Montauk, Greenport, and she had one in Sag Harbor that burnt down in the theater fire. I don't know where she gets her energy. She has a lovely staff that works like a well oiled machine! People come in and out by the droves without a long wait. Her back garden/ patio overlooks the SHELTER ISLAND yacht club . You can sit there with your latte and enjoy a magnificent view on the water, one of the few places that has outdoor dining on the water. We treasure this beautiful bistro.!!! Thank you Marie!!!

We ate here today and yesterday. Bring your bank account as thee 4-danish and single coffee ran $35. But I couldn't help myself when I found a $45.00 bottle of Balsamic vinegar that I have been looking for. The product was worth the price!

Just had an egg sandwich and coffee here. The most bland sandwich I've ever had with undercooked eggs that ran all over my hand when I picked it up. Of course they do not have a bathroom to wash my hands off. The coffee was fine. Oh and of course it was expensive. Sorry MEM first and last time for me. The outside deck on the water was a nice place to sit.

The food is very good but ridiculously overpriced. But people don't seem to care, it's the Hamptons I guess. But 18 bucks for a corn salad? Wow. Anyway, very good food,. Am a bit
