What a treat. I had breakfast there and it was the best meal I've had since moving to Ulster County in November. Eggs cooked to perfection, just as I ordered, crisp bacon full of flavor, and the best home fries, fresh and hot, buttered wheat toast, and very good strong Brazilian blend coffee. The cook is very talented and deserves a raise. The store is bright and well cared for.
After having two more meals there, I have to downgrade my rating. I asked for a menu and the woman at the counter said they don't have one. So you just order something and see if you have it? She said yes. I asked if they served hamburger steak and she said we have hamburgers. Absurd situation.
Must give credit when it's due: they now have excellent signboard menus. Comprehensive and clear.

Favorite pitstop for sandwiches and snacks before my final destination . Clean bathrooms! Yay!

Stand there for 10 minutes waiting to order a breakfast sandwich while the lady behind the register is telling the other lady where to go and get her hair done and who to use literally stood there for 10 minutes. Service is awful.

Got 4 samosas - fried to perfection and absolutely delicious. We got chicken and the vegetarian option (two of each). They were out of their usual dipping sauces but the man (who I assume is a manager) went into the kitchen and suggested a drizzle of hot honey. I cannot even begin to describe how that amped up the flavor, absolutely the best kick of sweet and spicy and sticky and crunchy - so amazing! I really hope they continue their Indian food offerings, they really are delicious, affordable, and easy to pick up and bring home for something different.

We’re sitting in the parking lot eating the chickpea curry! Wow! It is truly delicious. We don’t often get good Indian food and this was honestly something I would order at a fine dining style Indian restaurant.
The samosas were cooked to order and very fresh!
The staff was pleasant and friendly. Made us feel very welcome even though we’re from down by Westchester.
Would absolutely come back when we’re driving through.

I look forward to stopping at this store on my weekend trek to my cabin. THE STAFF are great. The grilled sandwiches are delish. And the coffee is pretty good. Fill up my tank, and my tummy...LIFE IS GOOD!

The new owners are doing great. We had the butter chicken and veggie samosa and it was delicious. A big improvement from the previous owners

I stopped in Monday 4/1/24, day after Easter for a breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately the hard roll was very dry. Unsure if Mondays are a bad day for bread, but I would suggest trying elsewhere. They do have a full breakfast and lunch menu, several pasta salads, and some grab and go sandwiches. Boar's head deli provisions.
And of course they are a country store too with your usual merchandise.

Driving on leafy Route 28 will take you past rolling hills of the Catskills and also bring you here to Olive's Country Store in about 10 minutes from Woodstock. If you want firewood for your chimney, kitchen items, board games, Vermont chocolate truffles, camping+fishing supplies- this is the spot. Heck, I'm even sure you'll get a good fill of gossip- and won't ever leave disappointed. Come hungry- as Olive's has Board's Head products, sandwiches, salads, cooked veggies available, etc. Oh....and come for breakfast. Nothing fancy- just the basics: bagels, pancakes, omelette, toast, etc. The hot beverage station is stocked with regular and decaf coffee thermoses, several tea flavors (awesome)- including a Bigelow Chai Vanilla, several types of creamers, milk and non-dairy as well. Take a seat in their dining room in the back and enjoy your breakfast or lunch without any pressure. I'm not sure if they use the same griddle for eggs and pork- so I played it safe with a toasted plain bagel+butter and got hubs the toasted bagel with bacon+cream cheese. My bagel isn't anything high-end but it had some plumpness, slightly crunchy outside and with just enough tug to the chew. Olive's offers a different type of shopping. Service is friendly with that 'country store' energy and price, is decent.

I hesitated to leave this review because I want this place to stay a local secret. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. Courteous and fast service.

It was a great stop after our bike ride. It was hidden off the corner of a plaza building that housed Dollar General. Quaint deli that has home decor items. Country store. Fresh salads and sandwiches. Need a menu up to know what they offer
