Dave would not give me a room due to the fact that I have seizures. He said he didn't want ambulances at his resort. He was very rude on the phone, wasn't professional. He sounded like he had been drinking while he was working

Our stay at Northern Lake George Resort was wonderful. We were there for a fall romantic getaway. The cabins are townhouse style and have spectacular views of Lake George because all of them are right on the lake. There are complimentary kayaks and we had such a fun time kayaking on the lake. There are amazing hiking trails nearby too. Good restaurants nearby as well. The host David was very friendly. Stargazing at night is a must! You can see the milkyway in the front yard of the resort.

Last minute room availability was appreciated but upon arrival, became clear as to why... Straight out of Scooby Doo this resort could provide an adventure for you? The rooms in the lodge were very outdated and the bathroom smelled very strong of cleaning products. The porch view of the lake was nice but was the only access to fresh air in the room as the only window in the bathroom was sealed shut. Also it is bring your own towels currently because of covid ???? We were promised a king size bed but it was just two twin beds pushed together on the same platform. We tried to be optimistic and enjoy beautiful Lake George but the kayaks and canoes offered did not have life jackets and they were no where to be found. The benches by the water front were a thoughtful touch but, some were broken. For $140 a night we could have stayed somewhere a lot nicer and a little less like something out of a cartoon mystery. Jinkies thanks for the free breakfast.

Great experience ...my husband wanna do the ice fishing...and he got it...He got a big lake trout.David, the owner was very helpful and answered all my questions without any hesitation ...The accomodation was good despite the reviews. I was not really sure...but you know guys you can pay more for less comfy rooms...I do not regret...defenetly will come back with my family again to catch another trout

Nice quiet place with access to water, rooms are clean but outdated.. showers are rather scary. Power went out Sunday morning, breakfast was really basic but made to order. Waitress barely spoke English.

Highly recommend saving time for a cocktail on the porch before dinner, especially since you'll be ordering dinner first and then waiting before being be seated anyway. Dinner was enjoyed by all. Salad and soup were served with all meals. The celery soup was delicious. Staff were accommodating.

The area, the setting, and the views are wonderful! I grew up in a place that was similar and the natural beauty was great. The facilities were not. The entire place had a early 1980s feel as if they were stuck back in time. Likely they didn't have the means to upgrade to at least the late 90s but they made NO effort. VERY small rooms, no closets, old stenciled decor, frozen pancakes, pre-made eggs and bacon for breakfast (which didn't open on time at all while we were there), and a general dinginess about the place (I was concerned about critters coming out of the cracked shower walls or from under the toilet seat. The place is wrapped in spider webs, a broom and a couple of hours every few weeks could fix that but no effort. (I got multiple spider bites, BTW). The owner was RUDE. When I called to make the reservation he asked me how I heard of them (reasonable) and why we were coming up there (questionable) I found it odd, but gave it little thought. I needed to do some work on my laptop one night but my room mate was trying to sleep. I went to the dining room as opposed to the main lounge area because my sensitivity to animal dander prevented me from being able to remain there. I was told that I could not work in the empty dining area and to go outside (in the dark and in the bugs). He was completely dismissive of my issues. I was explaining my situation when he abruptly turned away and left while I was mid sentence. I said aloud that he was rude and another worker said "He got a phone call." to which I responded that he had a live paying customer in front of him. I travel a good deal in my job both domestically and internationally, rural and urban. I've stayed at numerous questionable places over the years around the world. This was the worst. I highly recommend going elsewhere if you are in the area as they are overpriced as well.
