This stop is a ghost town! The bathrooms are dirty and smell awful. Be advised there are no restaurants here. There is a convenient store with snacks.

First of all, if you are in the reviews and your name is Rick white, you are a liar, this is the second service area just before the second set of tolls, and second of all this place was disgusting before they shut it down bugs spotted everywhere unsanitary practices in Burger King, 30 min line for expensive (and old) Dunkin’ Donuts. I hope the renovation is nice because this place was a joke before

It’s a pretty decent rest area. The big (covered) parking lot has the inconvenient of not having a pedestrian sidewalk so you do need to pay attention when backing up.The area itself has plenty of seats.Food options are the usual suspects i.e. unhealthy fast food that are not even that cheap…Bathrooms are on the second floor. It seems a popular stop on I87 so be ready to be in line.

No real lines at the places to eat, bathroom can use some love and care. A lot of urinals broken, they don't seem to flush fast enough sort of fresh scent of pee is in the air. Not horribly dirty but could use some freshening up. Rest of the service center is fine.

If I could rate negative stars, I would. The absolute most disgusting bathroom I have ever been in. Reeked of urine, 90% of the sinks were out, the rest had no water pressure. I wasn’t going to dare to use the hand dryers because of how disgusting the whole place was. I would’ve rather not stopped than use this place

That Dunkin Donuts need an order flatscreen ASAP for the guests. People having to inquiry about their order is surely slowing down the process. Additionally, you may need some faster staffers for the sandwich and toasting section.

Pretty filthy on the outside. Trash everywhere. Large. Okay, restrooms. Could use a deep clean.DUNKIN inside was open and busy. BK was closed at 6:30 AM. I'm not sure when they open, but they are missing out on business. There is a nice covered parking area for cars and Dunkin is Jumpin.

It’s a rest area. An important part of travel. Overall not horrible. Late day the options are limited to Dunkin Donuts or nothing - and cash only. Men’s restroom needs attention. One out of service urinal appears to have been used several times over the past few weeks and never cleaned (doesn’t flush). But. It was a break from the road and did it’s job

The place is decent for a bathroom break, but at 9pm on a spring break Sunday, nothing but Dunkin was open. We stopped here to eat, and can't get even prepackaged sandwiches. Absolutely blows my mind how this is acceptable on the main northway.

This seems to be the place I stop at every time. Not bad. Good selection of burgers and coffee. I wish the pretzel place was open. It's always closed when I go there.

Why oh why oh why is this the saddest, most understaffed and dysfunctional rest stop in the northeast? Half of the shops and restaurants are perpetually closed, and it's so drab and dirty. It's not the employees' fault, there just aren't enough of them to keep this place running. C'mon New York thruway, do better.

The Sloatsburg travel plaza is another New York State Thruway rest stop slated for renovation. Inside, Dunkin’ Donuts and Burger King were open, as well as a gift shop. The bathrooms are dated but clean. I like the way the central ceiling looks and hope it will stay that way.

This is one of the few travel plazas still standing with functioning restrooms and a few different coffee/food choices. Sbarro pizza, Starbucks, Dunkin, Burger King and I think Quiznos? Plus....a gift/snack shop and a cart or two with "I love NY" featured products.Rest rooms are on the second floor-but the top level is currently blocked off for parking (which is annoying since I usually use the upstairs entrance to pop in and out for quick bathroom access). Bathrooms are kept somewhat ok-not as disgusting as most of the other stops along 87.The escalator going down was closed, so I found the staircase off to the side that I had never noticed before. There's an elevator over there, too. Years of not paying attention to my surroundings made me glad to realize that rest rooms are actually accessible. This rest stop is fine. I assume it will be rebuilt at some point in the future.

Nice clean rest stop with clean bathrooms, and a gify shop with small gadgets and plenty of snacks.

It's one of the few currently (Feb 2023) open on the thruway. It's dated and needs a refresh but I like how you don't have to be in the weather to get into the building. We always stop here, it's the halfway point going up to lake George NY from Philly.
