Valley Rock Lodge This uber popular spot is very hard to locate (you may see it radiating light from the road, but will have great difficulty navigating your route to the actual venue.) (TIP...park in the public parking lot and stroll to the Lodge as the valet entrance is untenable.) Once you've finally reached the lodge grounds, the natural, bucolic aesthetic is striking. The surroundings are truly lovely. The landscape is beautifully incandescent, and is so well manicured with a year round pool, large fire pit, illuminated trees, and pretty paths. The lodge itself is simultaneously warm, spacious, rustic, modern and airy. Tables are well spaced and fireplaces are roaring, adding to both the aesthetic and the great vibe. The exterior and interior surroundings are FANTASTIC , enhancing the superb ambiance. The staff, while not quite polished, is attentive and pleasant. The menu is a bit limited as there are very few options, and only one vegetarian entree. For vegetarians who don't enjoy mushrooms, your only option will be to order two appetizers. That said, the food was quite good! We opted for both winter salads and Caesar salads. The Caesar salads were good, but the winter salads were great, well dressed and full of top notch, appropriately bitter lettuces, grapefruit and radishes. The entrees were also thoroughly enjoyed. (The mushroom -free gnocchi appetizer was actually ordered as an entree (minus the pancetta) due to the paucity of vegetarian options.) The scallop entrees were perfectly cooked in a tangy sauce with yummy kale. The vegetarian pasta entree was extremely tasty, but, again, ONLY if you love mushrooms, and highly recommended for those who do. The bone in filet mignon was also delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. (We quibbled about whether the scallops or filet mignon were the entree standouts, as both were SO delectable.) For dessert we had the lemon lamington (a sort of luscious lemon coconut cake which was worth the calories) and the chocolate pot de crème, which was just okay. Cocktails were tasty, but don't expect to order your favorite brand of liquor as The Lodge only has a limited, yet well curated, array of "small batch" alcohol. Dining at The Lodge is a delightful experience, where the very good food is only surpassed by the stellar ambiance. The Lodge is a keeper!

Most amazing ambiance of any restaurant I've ever been in. There are two restaurants on the property which is park-like. Every little detail is perfect. Service was impeccable. Food was great as well. The only thing we had which was a bit of a miss was the filet on the bone. While it was very tasty, it was underdone by the bone and a little more well done than I would have liked otherwise. That said, it was still delicious, just not amazing as the rest of the fare. It's a special occasion type place, so people get dressed up. You'll want to, too. Dinner and a few drinks was @ $125pp. So go. You'll be glad you did. Last thing: reservations are required, at least on weekends.

Went here for drinks and dinner. We ended up sitting at the bar and had an absolutely fantastic night. Service started off a bit slowly but after things calmed down a bit the bartender was awesome. The food runners/servers who brought our food out had been just fantastic, I even dropped a scrabble tile (we brought and were playing travel scrabble at the bar) and the gentleman who brought our food out went on a mission trying to find it for us! Every item we ordered was literally executed perfectly, the pizza couldn’t have been made more perfectly than it was, and I consider myself I pizza connoisseur who makes his own brick oven pizza with homemade 3 day fermented pizza dough made with a sour dough starter that I’ve kept alive for 4 years now! Literally, I’m just floored how perfectly the pizza was made. I’m glad on the way out I walked by the window and saw the chef making a pie and was able to compliment him, although I think a bow would’ve been more appropriate for this master pizza artisan. We had their Brussel sprouts as well which were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy, seasoned to perfection and the sweet/spicy sauce complimented it just right. We also split a burger and yes, it was awesome as well as the perfectly seasoned fries that accompanied it (grade A fries, that were all nice long fries and not the little pieces that so many restaurants cheap out on buying). I honestly didn’t expect much for a place outside the city but WOW you’ll be hard pressed to find a better place in 100 miles of here, if not more. I’ll definitely be back

The food was great, the atmosphere was great, but the service was on point...definitely 5 stars. We had our 14th year anniversary dinner, and our server made it even more special with all her knowledge and recommendations. I'm gluten-free, and she, unlike most servers, was so on top of checking in with the chef to confirm the gluten-free items. It was finally a pleasure to have a server, not make you feel like the restaurant POA for being gluten-free. Thank you for a memorable dinner!

The grounds and buildings are beautiful. What impressed me most though was the food. Most delicious dinner I ever enjoyed!

When your wedding guests come up to you and tell you that this place is the most beautiful and perfect venue, you know you struck gold!Valley Rock exceeded every expectation imaginable and a large part of that is thanks to Cristian and his incredibly friendly, hardworking and dedicated staff making sure that our wedding weekend was everything we could’ve imagined and more.Starting with the living accommodations: while you are at a different destination, you feel an immediate sense of comfort and a sense of being at home as soon as you pull in. The houses were beautiful, modern and every one of our guests were blown away. It doesn’t hurt when you have a top of the line gym and lap pool in your backyard either! 5/5Next, the service. As previously mentioned, everything was top notch and A++. It seemed like the staff made it their personal mission to make sure every guest had everything they needed and did everything they could to make the weekend one to remember for everyone. Best of all, they did it with a smile on their face. 5/5,Next, food and beverage. We heard from friends and family who have dined here or gotten married how great the food was, so we had high expectations coming in, Valley Rock exceeded those by miles. This was some of the best food we’ve ever tasted and best cocktails made. Period. Months after our wedding and our friends and family STILL rave about it. That’s not the norm with venues, but with VR, it is! 5/5Lastly, the location: it’s hard to put into words how beautiful and special this place is. It’s mind boggling that it exists in this area. There is no place like it and nothing could come close to replicating it. 5/5Valley Rock holds an incredibly special place in our heart. It will be a place we will recommend a thousand times over and a place we will visit year in and year out. Looking back, we could never imagine not having our wedding here and are grateful this place exists.

I was blown away by this beautiful Gem! This place looks like it came out of a story book. The Ambiance is unexplainable. The food was amazing and the server Edward was on point. The fire pits are everywhere. I can't wait to come back and stay here. Love this place!

I photographed a wedding here earlier this year, and it's a fantastic venue. The grounds are stunning, so there is no shortage of photo opportunities. Everything ran seamlessly. It's also easily accessible - wedding guests can take the train and the venue is only a few steps away from the station.

Come here on numerous occasions but winter and summer. The menu both times is absolutely fantastic. The food and drinks are always spot on and the service is top tier. One of my favorite spots for a special occasion, or just a date night! Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Usually one of my favorite restaurants but recently they stopped making g the lemon lamington. The food is good with the chicken milanese very good. The service was incredible. Kevin was attentive and informative. The short ribs were excellent. Dessert was by passed even though one of the reasons we love it here. Aside from the Lamington there is nothing interesting. The half priced wine night is very popular.

A Dream Come True Venue! From the moment we stepped on the premises, we were captivated by its charm and beauty. This venue can accommodate an intimate gathering or a grand celebration like ours. We had our daughter's wedding here this past weekend and I can't express in words how amazing it was on every level. The accommodations, the staff, the food was INCREDIBLE, the grounds. What a find! Shout out to Cristian, who helped us navigate through the details and made our day and weekend magical. We had so many guests say it was the best wedding they ever attended and the food was amazing. We will be forever grateful for the memories of this wedding weekend. It's truly an amazing place.

The atmosphere of the Valley Rock Inn is really great! We enjoyed it alot. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The only downside was the cost of the food to the taste of the food. For what you get vs the price I don't feel it really equals out. The friendliness of the staff, the beauty of the place, the ability to walk around the grounds knocks out the disappointment with the food which is why the place gets 4 stars instead of a 5 for me.
