I've tried for about a week to make an appointment and speak to someone at the Smithtown office. Not only do they not answer the phone, you can't even leave a message because the mail box is full. They take your money quickly tho.

Let me start off by saying, I rarely write bad reviews. However, people need to know that the staff and manager running this office are completely incompetent. DO NOT GO HERE!!
I had an appointment to upgrade my drivers license, but still ended up waiting over an hour! The "un-trained" employee who took my application threw my information on the bottom shelf and was completely disregarded until I said something. Literally everyone in the line behind was called before me!
Then, I spoke with the manager - another "incompetent leader" who told me that I needed more documents and that they couldn't process my application! This was all because the "un-trained" employee failed to ask for a specific document in the very beginning!
This office is NOT equipped to handle DMV transactions! They are living in the dark ages! DO NOT GO HERE!! What an awful experience!!

So many services offered under one roof. I went to pick up an international driving permit. I didn't realize you can also apply for TSA pre check here, as well as apply for the new SmartID, transact DMV business, etc, on top of all the obvious AAA services. They were professional and organized, just busy (so four stars, only because I waited more than an hour). That said, there is an option to make an appointment (which I didn't do, but certainly will in the future).

I rarely leave reviews, but I am absolutely amazed by the efficiency and customer service at this AAA center. I have been here twice in the past month for travel-related services. Both times, I was in and out of the center within twenty minutes of arrival. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences I’ve had here and I’ll be sure to return next time I need a service that they can provide!

Sitting here for 2 1/2 hours waiting to be towed. Estimated help they don't know. Premium Mebership for over 30 yrs means nothing.

Very propfessional, friendly and detailed oriented staff ready and willing to assist with transactions. You literially get treated like family.
