Good luck getting TSA PreCheck here! I had an appointment in December (which I had to make about a month in advance), and when I showed up on the day, I was told "our system is down and we can't do PreCheck." Nice. Since then, I have gone back twice as a walk in, both times I was denied. Beware!

Had an appointment.... Tried to call to reschedule but they DO NOT answer the phone. So I made it my business to get here at my appointment time. Walked into an empty store to be told that the terminal is down and they can't even help us anyway. She could be as sorry as she wants..They could have and should have called us. I will not be using this facility again. I really don't understand how you could accept an appointment, make people drive there and then not be able to provide the service. ANSWER THE PHONE!!!

The person answering the phone was very helpful. When you call you do not speak with the individual branch but he placed me on hold and got me the information I needed

I had a flat tire in a parking lot, I called AAA & gave them my membership information + told them what was going on. After we hung up the phone not even 10 minutes later they were there to help me, he was friendly, quick & efficient. I would recommend AAA to anyone that has a car. Plus some hotels give you discounts if you have AAA!

For 25+ years I drove by AAA - Smithtown saying to myself, who the heck uses AAA? New cars come with free towing! Planning out a trip, why do you need printed maps? I relegated AAA to my grandfathers time, its was good then but when you have GPS in your car, there's no need for this service. Then I had to go to Germany over the summer. You just can't rent a car overseas, drive to castles and visit historic spots. You need to have the proper papers! How the heck to you get a temporary drivers license to buzz around Europe? I look on the web and found out that any AAA can provide the proper licenses needed to get in the drivers seat. Did you know there is a scaled down US DMV at AAA - Smithtown? You can perform many of the functions here, no waiting on a line and waiting for your number to be called. *Go on line first to see what DMV services are offered. Planning a trip overseas? You can do it all at AAA - Smithtown! The customer service I received was worthy of a Yelp review. I came to the AAA office early, there was no line and I was out the door with my European permit very quickly. This is a great service and if you need assistance with your travel plans, AAA - Smithtown has your back.

Terrible Customer Service for the Smithtown Branch. Cant get routed to the correct branch because the phone number for the Smithtown branch is answered off site. They say they will transfer you and either the call drops or no one answers the phone during business hours.

I needed to get approved for TSA pre-check for an upcoming trip . I couldn’t get an apt . Before I have to leave . Someone there suggested to me to get there as soon as they open . I just might be able to to be seen as a walk-in . I did that the next day . As I started to sit down in waiting area they called me . I was done in 10 min. The young woman that helped me was excellent & very nice .

Not for travel. First agent left AAA and switched to a second one that started ok but then never returned emails or calls and didn't even get in touch before or after the trip to make sure everything was good. Basically did everything on our own.
