Omg Smithtown Enterprise is the best. Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly. My second time renting from here and I highly recommend this place to anyone. Definitely renting from here again!!

Extremely disappointed with this office. lack of communication BIG TIME- on hold for 20-35 minutes at a time, no call backs when was told I would receive call within a few hours. Unprofessional and rude.

When you need a rental car, call Enterprise in Smithtown. They do their very best to get you the best car for your needs. They are open pretty early and they are ready to get you in a car and on your way. Insurance companies are never fun to deal with, but they understand that, and are happy to help. The best part is that you can often leave the rental with your garage and they come and get it. Thank you, Nick!

I originally booked a rental with a different drop off location, but within the same city. After I saw how high the price was, I called to see if I changed the drop off location it would change the price. Both the local and corporate offices assured me it would, however after I brought the car back to the pickup location no adjustments were made to the rate. I paid $1,000 for a 4 day rental of a Corolla. The local office claimed they could not make any adjustments and I’d have to call corporate. When I called corporate they claimed they could not make adjustments to non-airport locations and the local branch would have to make the adjustment. When I called the local branch back I was met with annoyance and disinterest. I have rented with Enterprise for years and rent a lot for work, however I will do everything I can to avoid them at this point. The same rental should have cost between $150-$500 max. Really disappointed in how they treat a longtime customer.

The process was easy and convenient. But the staff at your Smithtown NY location was so excellent they all deserve accolades, especially the manager, Matt! I am disabled with a wheelchair and Matt and staff went above and beyond to make sure not only was I comfortable, but that I was okay getting from my drop off to my mechanic to retrieve my car. They made sure I had rides to get where I needed to go. They were compassionate and caring and went above and beyond what you expect from service industry employees these days! I will be recommending their location to all my family and friends based on the service I received!

Rented from Enterprise of Smithtown twice. Dealt with Nick there who was Very Friendly and Extremely helpful. Needed 2 different kinds of cars, one to take on a trip upstate, a larger SUV. Then we needed a small car for my husband to get to work.
Nick helped us get some Great cars and made the whole process so easy.

I made a reservation for a full size SUV on Oct 25 for the 26th to the 28th and received a prompt reservation confirmation. Today when I went to pick up the car I was first told that there is no reservation and upon rendering the reservation number I was told that this reservation was automatically cancelled because they didn’t have any vehicle in that size available and that I should have received a cancellation email which I never received. Matt, the guy at the counter then got really smart with me by saying that I need to make the reservation at least 48h in advance which is of course complete bs but what really p….ed me off about this that he wanted to make this my fault and absolutely zero attempt at coming up with a solution. Needless to say that I was/am frustrated. Now not sure how to do our trip out East with the seven of us today. Poor training of employees and an even poorer attitude towards customer service. I used to rent from there quite a few times. Definitely not in the future anymore and my recommendation to anyone would be if you can help it don’t go there, they don’t care at all!!! Very sad.

Be very careful when you rent a vehicle from Smithtown enterprise. I rented a vehicle online and then realized I would not make it back on Friday by the time they close. They told me Not to worry that they would automatically charge me each day until I returned it, because their policy was a 24 hour rental. They also said I had to return it by 4 o'clock on Saturday, But they failed to tell me that they close at 12 o'clock on Saturday. I dropped off at 1:30 left it the keys in The dropbox and thought I was done!!! They billed me two extra days, Sunday and Monday. Because apparently, in this small print contract it says. If they are closed you charged until the next business day. If they would've Told me that I would've dropped it off at another enterprise on Saturday. I would advise everybody to read the small print and don't listen to what their reps tell you.
