I lost both of my parents recently my dad in January 2022 and my mom this past March. Fives Funeral Home were so kind, compassionate and professional. During the worst times in a person's life it is good to know that there are people who are so helpful and patient. They gave us many options including allowing us to add our own touch to make the services more personal to each of my parents. Thank you Shaun and the staff at Fives Funeral Home.

At a time of the great loss in the passing of my mother, Fives Smithtown Funeral Home was there for me every step of the way. Their compassion and love were felt from the moment I had first walked in to sitting down to setup for the pre-arrangements. In a relaxed and not overbearing setting, Shawn Fives walked me through the process with every aspect clearly stated & shown. The services for my mom were beautifully done. Shawn took over 200 photographs I provided him, set them to music I selected, and then this video tribute of my mother played while my family & friends gathered. It was truly special! Everyone there was deeply touched and I could not have asked for any better. My heart breaks for my mom's passing, but seeing this tribute and the way it was so tastefully done gives me a sense of peacefulness. The corresponding mass the next day, the passing by our home after the church service and the poignant passages read at the cemetery were incredibly done. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every member of Fives Funeral Home for your care, kindness, understanding, and compassion. I highly recommend their services, 5+☆'s, to all those who may come to grieve the loss of a family member.

Today my brother's and I laid our mother, Dolores Zendler to rest. Shawn and his team were kind, helpful and compassionate. They saw to every detail with professionalism and heart. Shawn made every aspect of our Mother's wake and funeral as easy as possible. We recommend and thank him from the bottom of our hearts.

Shawn and his team are top notch. They helped us through a very difficult time with kindness and compassion when my father passed away and again later when my mother passed. They provided calm and comfort during a very stressful time for our family.

I am forever grateful to Sean from Fives Funeral Home. The passing of my 20yr old daughter was very tragic. Sean took care of everything with care, compassion, and ease. We recently entrusted Fives Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with the arrangements for our beloved Helcia Rojas, a devoted wife, an excellent mother, and a wonderful grandmother. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, Shawn B. Fives was a steady, compassionate guide.
From the very beginning, Shawn was incredibly thorough and supportive. He took the time to walk us through every step of the process—from selecting a casket and arranging church services, to designing remembrance cards and coordinating flowers. His kindness and patience meant everything to our grieving family.
What truly stood out was that we never felt rushed. At the burial, Shawn allowed us all the time we needed, and he genuinely listened and talked with us, offering comfort in a way that felt deeply personal. It may be his job, but his actions spoke volumes about his character—you would never know this was just another day at work for him.
We are profoundly grateful to Shawn and the team at Fives Funeral Homes for treating our family, and Helcia’s memory, with such dignity and care.

FIVES FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES is a second generation business started by a retired police officer. I highly respect police officers. Shawn, the current owner is a warm-hearted family man. He made this sad journey a peaceful and calm one on two passings. I highly recommend Fives Funeral Homes for all your burial and cremation needs. Shawn will treat you like family!

What a blessing to find Fives Funeral home. It is a little intimidating when being thrust into this situation. They were the only funeral home with pricing listed right on their website. That made the whole process less stressful and encouraged us to call. this Once we called, the empathy and kindness Shawn showed through this difficult time was outstanding. He took care of every detail, nothing for us to worry about. I would absolutely recommend him. Thanks Shawn.

I never knew finding a funeral home could be so difficult but yet so easy. After my mother passed, I called about six local funeral homes and didn’t realize what a game some of these places play. Fives funeral home was straightforward with all the pricing and incredibly fair. Shawn went above and beyond, and knowing that this is a business, they were quite a few things that he did for free that other places were charging for. He was compassionate, understanding and made an incredibly sad time in our lives a little bit easier.

It's really a shame that Google only allows 5 stars on their reviews. For an organization such as Fives it really isn't enough. I contacted Shawn before my loss and he couldn't have made the process easier. On top of that he made himself completely available for anything that came up or any and all concerns that I had or would have.
On top of that I'm very happy to say that everything and I mean everything went off without a hitch. And other services that were recommended were absolutely spot on. Deacon Bob did the service and he was dynamite! Flowers came from Caroline's in Islip. They were gorgeous and reasonably priced.
I would think that to be a successful funeral home you really have to like people and care about them at a very stressful time. Shawn and his team accomplished this incredibly well. I'm grateful to Shawn and his team for making a bad situation much better. As a final thought I wanted to say that many of the attendees told me how impressed thet were with Fives.
