“We take our cat and two dogs to Dr. Frishman and couldn't be happier with the care they receive. He treats them like family and is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. He never rushes through visits and always takes time to answer our questions, which makes a huge difference. It's clear he is an expert in all thing's animal!
Most recently, he spayed our cat, and the entire experience - from pre-op to post-op was smooth and reassuring. She's recovering beautifully, and the team's follow-up shows their dedication doesn't stop at the procedure. We absolutely love Dr. Frishman and all the staff at Progressive. “Doctor K is absolutely the best! He is a great person and a phenomonal vet. He is compassionate, and truly loves our furbabies. I have great confidence in him, and would always entrust him to care for my pets' well-being. Doctor K also always calls promptly, when he promises a call about a test result, and he also takes the time to email answers and advice to my concerns. He is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in offering solutions. Most of all, he provides a plan and next steps for all of my furbabies, which is very helpful in a multi-pet home in keeping everyone on track. “We had our 2 very anxious dogs and 3 cats taken care of here. We had a great experience every time. Our dogs stayed here when we went on vacation and even though they were both anxious they enjoyed staying here.
The vets never pushed me to pay for anything that wasn’t medically necessary. They always showed compassion and care. I cannot say the same for any other vet clinics in the area and we tried most of those before coming here!”

“My boy Toby became fatally ill last week, and my neighbor recommended Dr. Mihok, telling me he was incredibly kind and helpful. When I called, he immediately said he could come to my home. He examined my sweet boy and gently gave us the heartbreaking news that it was likely his time. Even then, he offered to bring Toby to the vet’s office for an X-ray, just to be sure. He took our boy in his van and drove him himself. But Dr. Mihok was right—Toby was ready to cross the rainbow bridge, and he passed before reaching the office.
Dr. Mihok personally brought him back to us and explained our options with so much compassion. My husband and I brought Toby to the office for cremation. When Toby was ready to come home, Dr. Mihok called us himself and drove to our house to bring him to our door.
For what is truly the worst experience a pet owner can go through, Dr. Mihok went out of his way to make the process as gentle as possible. He showed genuine care for our boy’s comfort, and you could see in his eyes that his heart broke alongside ours when he handed us Toby’s remains.
I have never met a veterinarian who goes so far above and beyond for the families he serves. Dr. Mihok and everyone at Cross River Veterinary are blessings. I truly don’t know how we would have gotten through this without their guidance and support. May God bless them.”

“Dr Covitz is the absolute best vet you’ll ever find. He came in today even though they were closed because I was concerned about my cat. She ended up having a respiratory infection and he gave her antibiotics and fluids to help her fight it and keep her hydrated, all while on his day off!! He was also the only vet that was able to solve my cats anal
gland problem out of two other vets that I took her to. This man is a godsend. Don’t hesitate to come here because he genuinely loves these animals!”
“I appreciate that the Dr. Emmot was prepared and had reviewed the extensive records I had forwarded before our appointment. I also appreciated that they were on time. Dr Emmot spent an unhurried hour explaining in detail what was going on and answering patiently all my questions. Since extensive labs were required, I appreciate also the fact that I was asked if I was OK with going ahead with all of it given the price. That consideration is not common and worth noting.

“We are among the first pet people to use the services of SPAHin the early 80’s. I was excited to bring my pets to a women led veterinary hospital - a rarity back in the day. Every person at SPAH is skilled, professional, compassionate and loves animals.When our current cat was very ill, the doctors suggested a complicated surgery, but they left the choice to us and never ran a guilt trip on us as some vets might have.Today our boy is healthy and stays at the Meowiott when we are away.
