“What an amazing animal hospital! Every appointment and every encounter with any of the staff is always pleasant. From the front desk, the vet techs to the doctors, I must say they’re all gems. When people tell me they’ve worked there for years with a smile, I know I’m in the right place. If they treat their employees right they treat patients and caregivers right as well. Special shoutout to Dr Hallquest! You’re a rock star!”

“Doctor K is absolutely the best! He is a great person and a phenomonal vet. He is compassionate, and truly loves our furbabies. I have great confidence in him, and would always entrust him to care for my pets' well-being. Doctor K also always calls promptly, when he promises a call about a test result, and he also takes the time to email answers and advice to my concerns. He is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in offering solutions. Most of all, he provides a plan and next steps for all of my furbabies, which is very helpful in a multi-pet home in keeping everyone on track. I have been with Dr. K for many years, dating back to when he did acupuncture on my dog. I would highly recommend Yorktown Animal Hospital and their sister location Peekskill Animal.”

“I took my Mia in as an emergency. She had surgery the week before in SC and while we were back in NY it looked like her stitches popped. They took us right in and she saw Dr. Scaperotti. He cleaned her up, examined her and put our minds at ease. He was thorough, personable and treated her as if she was a long time patient. He also put our minds at ease and gave us his opinion of her diagnosis. A few days later he removed her stitches. Everyone at Mahopac Animal hospital was great and we will be back if need be. Thank you all!”

“I had such a wonderful experience at Taconic Veterinary Center! My family and I recently relocated to the area and were looking for a local veterinarian we could trust with our mini poodle. I initially brought her in for a consultation, and she also had a gland cyst that needed to be removed. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredibly caring, patient, and kind—not only to our dog, but to my husband and me as well. They made us feel comfortable, answered our questions, and most importantly, treated our girl with so much compassion and care. Finding a new vet after moving can be stressful, but I’m so happy we found Taconic Veterinary Center. We had such a positive experience and will definitely be back. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly cares about both their patients and their families!”

They fit me into their schedule and diagnosed my dog within hours. The staff was very kind and I have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I could tell right away she was in good hands. Highly recommend to bring your fur babies here and will be recommending to my family here in the area.”

“I appreciate that the Dr. Emmot was prepared and had reviewed the extensive records I had forwarded before our appointment. I also appreciated that they were on time. Dr Emmot spent an unhurried hour explaining in detail what was going on and answering patiently all my questions. Since extensive labs were required, I appreciate also the fact that I was asked if I was OK with going ahead with all of it given the price. That consideration is not common and worth noting. I highly recommend going there.”

“Dr. Kovitz is an exceptional and very rare veterinarian. He helped me and my best friend of 15 years through an incredibly difficult time with compassion, kindness, and the accessibility to contact him directly when needed. He diagnosed a serious condition that the veterinarians I had been seeing for years had somehow completely overlooked. I feel extremely fortunate that my dog sitter referred me to him. I highly recommend Dr. Kovitz and will always be grateful for his care, kindness, and extraordinary support.”

“Our dog, Diamond, saw Dr. Haims for 11 years until we moved & could not drive the distance to the office any longer, and needed to look for a closer office. He has always cared for her since a pup. We called to tell him & his staff @ 13 1/2, Diamond crossed the rainbow bridge. He made it a priority to take my call after I had given the news to his staff. So very professional, compassionate, & kind of him. Thank you for being there for Diamond for many years! 🙏🏻”
