I switched gas companies because of the horrible service that amerigas provides. It is impossible to get someone who understands English. I sent pictures of the tanks that I returned. They are pictured in the lot of the South Dayton company where they told me to put them BUT I keep getting a bill for tank rental.

Amerigas has the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY PROVIDER I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. If you try to call your local office your call is directed to a national service center who can't answer any questions or help in any way. In addition, their prices suck. IE: Amerigas = $2.29/gal. New provider = $1.44/gal. So long suckers

Everything went well. Thank you for your great service. I wish that your prices were always lower than everyone else like they were this time! I own my own tank and the price of propane is the main driver for me when picking my supplier.

It’s takes Atleast 15 minutes to get ahold of a real person on the phone. Propane was not delivered within the time frame quoted. When we called to see what the issue was and why they hadn’t delivered it the customer service rep gave no answer. Since the delivery was late we ran out of propane. The rep stated we would have propane by the end of the day. It wasn’t delivered until 2.5 days after the end of the quoted delivery date. It took 9.5 days to get a propane delivery.

After doing business w Amerigas, for 20+ years, I will leave . They are price gouging, and charging rent for my old 500;gallon tank! I have written to them, with no response, and I am writing a formal complaint to the NY AG! The NY website state propane is in the $2.50 range, they are billing me over $4.00

As others have stated, since amerigas was bought by UGI the customer service is abysmal; unhelpful, often rude, barely understandable. And this is after you hear that they've \"improved their customer experience\"! We have stopped using amerigas and switched to another local LP supplier who is charging significantly less $/gal for propane and whose customer service is hands down much better than amerigas. Our new supplier disconnected the LP tank from amerigas and moved it to a location where it will be easier for amerigas to take it away, but amerigas is going to charge us $69 to REMOVE THEIR OWN TANK. AND, they said that removing the tank may take 1 to 3 MONTHS! This is not a busy time period for LP suppliers! Why would it take that long to pick up a tank which is a smaller size tank?? This just illustrates how messed up amerigas is. I would recommend that if you are looking for a propane supplier, you run, not walk, away from amerigas.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Was waiting for 30 minutes just for them to answer and hang up the call immediately. Customer service assistants do not know anything about the company and are rarely helpful.

Best on hold for an hour just for them not to fix any issues. They dont respond in a timely manner.

I was on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes, just to have the propane ordered. This wait time was more than double the amount of time that was quoted when I first placed the call.

They show up three hours late and expect me to leave my doors unlocked for them because I have to leave, just save yourself the frustration and don't go through these people

Happy they deliver to my house. Never a hassle when I call to place my order. The people who answer the phone are very pleasant as well.
