Incredible practice with alternative modalities. Dr. Seo is one of the most amazing veterinary doctor's I have ever encountered. The love he has for animals is apparent in his care. My Margo who was 12.5 was diagnosed with lymphoma.. She went through the traditional route of chemo at another practice that left her in the hospital for 5 days. I moved Margo to Smith Ridge and Dr. Seo from a recommendation I received. Through his care Margo we were able to have more time with her and truly enjoy each and every day as a gift. Sadly, it was time to say goodbye and let her rest. It was a day that Dr. Seo is off from working on that day, but he came in to care for Margo and help her transition over the rainbow bridge with me. This is a testament to the love he has for his animal patients. Thank you to Dr. Seo, you are one-of -a kind human. Thank you also to the rest of the team for your empathy and support during one of the most difficult days in my life. I know one day another dog will come into our lives and Smith Ridge will be our new Vet home forever.

It has taken me 3 months to write this review as I still am at a loss.
I took my cat to Dr. Jenna for a consult as she has a vaccine site sarcoma on her leg in May 2024. A previous one had been removed in February by Newtown Vet Specialists. I discussed all treatment and surgical options with Dr, Jenna and she said the cats best option was amputation of the leg. My cat was running and playing despite the tumor. We scheduled the surgery for June 5th and after the procedure Dr. Jenna said she was doing well and I could pick her up. Upon arriving, my cat seemed normal but as I approached my car it was clear she was having trouble breathing. I went back in to the hospital and was told Dr, Jenna and the Surgeon who performed the amputation had left for the day. Dr, Seo worked on my cat for 2 hours, she was put on oxygen and warming pads as her temperature was dropping. We were told to bring her to the 24 hour hospital in Norwalk and she might need a transfusion. I drove her there where she later died of cardiac arrest barely a half hour later. I was and still am in shock, as this cat has no cardiac issues. I spoke with Dr, Jenna the next day and she was very sympathetic and kind, even refunding some of my charges but could give me no explanation as to what happened. How could she when she did not perform the surgery? They used Dr. John L. Parks of Vet. Surgical Services, Madison CT according to the surgical report I received. So I would like to know if this man has a shred of decency or a soul. I have not had one email, call or anything in the way of communication from him since he cut my cats leg off and she died hours later. But I assure you he was paid for his services. What kind of a person does not even reach out to a patient? I have NO explanation of what happened and probably never will. But if anyone has any insight it should be the surgeon. I know many things can happen post op for people or animals but I have no closure on this and am left heart broken. Make your own choices for you pet, but my cat was joyful, running and playing up to the surgery and now I am trying to make some sense of what happened.
God bless Dr. Seo for his kindness and attempts to save my cats life.

I had been to Dr. Jenna in the past and was extremely happy and confident with her. After finding out my dog had osteosarcoma I wanted a consult so she could help me navigate a treatment plan. I waited almost two weeks for a phone consultation. Dr. Jenna listened and helped me formulate a plan for my dog who is terminal but still had a good quality of life. The meeting was on a Thursday evening. Dr. Jenna told me I would hear from her the next Monday in regards to a treatment. I never heard from her. I left six voicemails. The office rarely picks up the phone. I finally got an answer after several days of trying and was told by a compassionate secretary that she would have her call me. That never happened the secretary called me back and told me to amputate the leg or do radiation. I told her Dr. Jenna and I had talked about a different plan. She said send an email with your questions and I promise she will get it. I have still not heard back. Dr. Jenna lost her empathy chip clearly. She is not the same doctor who helped me years ago. She doesn't seem to care about dogs or their humans.

Impossible to make an appointment. They haven't responded to 7 emails in a row. I have been calling for weeks. They either ignore the call altogether or say they will call back but never do. Rude. Disorganized. Worrisome. The dog doc was great but all the vets have left. They need better front of house people too. These reviews are very worrisome.

Dr. Seo is the best vet that I have ever encountered. It is obvious that Dr. Seo genuinely and deeply cares about the work that he does, which is shown in his ability to be responsive and educating. My dog suffers from epilepsy. Previous vets have just given him anti-convulsants and called it a day. Dr. Seo has taken the time to properly diagnose the underlying cause, and recommend supplements, accu-pressure techniques, diet changes, etc. I have met several people who rave about his exceptional work in the veterinary world. Very grateful to have him and I remain hopeful that my dog's seizures will decrease or stop completely.

I was convinced by Dr. Reskin to have my allergic 1 1/2 year old dog to have Vit C infusion 8 hours a day for 3 days to help him with his severe allergies. She was sure she could reverse his reactions to most proteins which had left him with bloody thick scratched ears and eyes. She put him on 5 oral supplements and prednisone, telling me the prednisone was temporary just to make him comfortable and we can start withdrawing it after the Vit C treatment. I spent the three days with him, saw Dr Raskins during the treatment. That was before Christmas. By 12/27 I get a follow up email from Mark a vet tech telling me she has left the practice recommending Dr Jenna. I was surprised that she didn’t mention she was leaving while I was spending $1800 plus! I tried to follow up my phone consult, we were disconnected, I waited for 60 minutes on hold and was told they forgot I was on the phone! The next time I spoke with her she said she would get back to me with a treatment plan, I complained that we have an open sore since the treatment that is still open an bleeding daily. I was told to wait and she would get back to me with injections to desensitize him. I again asked for help with his open bleeding sore on his head, he’s still under 2 years old. When we arrived at 1 1/2 I was told he can be corrected and because he was so young DrRaskin was confident. He still has an open sore that bleeds daily no matter what I try at home. It is mid February I haven’t heard back yet from them, I feel they took my money and left my boy without follow care. I didn’t mind paying for treatment if it would give him a better quality of life. I now feel taken for the money and he’s still on steroids which long term effect his health and quality of life! They may have had a good practice but now?????? Maybe they are just too busy

Wonderful folks, great facility, and caring professionals. I travel from down South to them simply because of how they care for every fur baby that is brought to them.

I can't say how much we're happy with all doctors & staff members. The facility has three Veterinary that are amazing because of their balance & knowledge of Western & Eastern medicine. Staff members make my experience great with big smiles when they greet myself & more importantly, my Akitas
