7 Buck Run St, South Salem NY 10590 About Wolf Conservation Center
Wolf Conservation Center offers a tour that many visitors find lovely and informative. Guests learn about wolves, their behavior and adaptations, and the center’s efforts to save wolves from extinction. The staff are passionate, friendly, and patient, especially with children who ask questions about dog weight or raw meat treats. Visitors can see all three types of wolves, and at least two wolves are guaranteed for educational purposes, while others may be available depending on their location. Families, adults, and teens enjoy a real‑life nature documentary experience. Some reviewers noted that the wood stove in the educational cabin caused allergic reactions for those with asthma, emphysema, COPD, or allergies, and suggested electric heat from solar panels or space heaters instead. Despite this, the overall experience is phenomenal, with fantastic guides, a great information session, and rewarding learning about the release and population boost of wolves. Most guests leave glad and eager to recommend the center. They do wonderful work for these creatures.

The staff is really passionate about what they do. One guest at a time, I am sure they will save these endangered Mexican Grey Wolves and have them run free again in the wilderness.
