We found this charming place for our mid September mini escape. Location is very close to the shops and restaurants. Bikes are available for a beach ride. Rooms are clean and well kept. Price is a reflection of the area.

I spent the month of August at this small hotel. It just worked for me. I felt well-taken care of by the staff, who were polite and usually charming. My room was freshly done and quite beautiful. The pool was the best! Never crowded or noisy. The clientele of the hotel were intelligent, respectful of others, interesting to talk to. The cafe by the pool had great food and cocktails. Best of all was the music curated by Jared . The hotel is on the edge of town, with its numerous restaurants, stores and art galleries. There is a shuttle to the glorious Coopers Beach. You could not ask for anything more!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed 5 nights in room 209. We requested a room facing the gardens and pool area. Half the rooms face the gardens and the other half the front parking lot so I would ask for the garden views. We enjoyed being on the second floor for views and having no noise above us. The grounds are sprawling. The pool is large, lots of loungers and the tennis court was a nice treat. I walked to Coopers Beach every morning. It was 1 hr and 20 min walk. Some of the streets along the way (Coopers Neck Ln) for example is on the top 10 wealthiest streets in the US list. Of course they have a complimentary beach shuttle that only takes 5 minutes. The best part of this hotel is the proximity to town. 5 minute walk and you are in the heart of it all. Southampton was my favorite village. East Hampton and Sag Harbor were nice but this is VERY convenient in terms of location. Loved the free morning coffee and free easy parking. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed visiting Montauk and Gosman's dock for lunch. Fabulous lobster roll and nice area to walk around with kids. The grocery store in Southampton is BEYOND nice and you could bring things back to hotel grounds to eat. Paul's Italian is a 3 min walk and many guests were picking up pizza and pasta to go. The hotel restaurant has a very nice $10 breakfast, 2 eggs any style, toast and hashbrowns. I really don't understand the bad reviews. I mean it is a tad expensive but relative to the area or renting a house....it's very well priced. The room was updated and beautiful. The bathroom a tad small. First hotel I have stayed in a while that had daily cleaning service. Staff very helpful. The traffic trying to visit the other villages drove us nuts....but I guess it is always like that. We enjoyed taking an uber to Cowfish in Hampton Bays for dinner one night. The outdoor seating at Tutti Il Giorno in Sag Harbor is the bomb. I wish I had reserved lunch on the terrace at Topping Rose House.....fantastic setting, best lunch spot I saw. Enjoyed stopping at the Wine Stand for Summer in a Bottle Rose. I would recommend this hotel!

This place was so cute and very organized !! The room was very clean and comfortable. Everything was easily accessible from bike rentals in the front, to a shuttle to the beach and restaurants onsite. Plaza Cafe is one of them and is rated the top restaurant in SouthHampton. Five minutes from Coopers Beach. Also five minutes from the shops and Tate’s aka my favorite cookies!!! I highly recommend it if you just want a night or more to relax and soak in the Hamptons.

The Southampton Inn located in the heart of Southampton should be a charming and well-appointed hotel. What it is, however, is an overpriced, smelly establishment. The rooms are old and the walls paper-thin. I could hear my "neighbor" coughing all morning. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere BUT here,

We had a tastefully decorated spacious, sunny and very clean room. We loved it there and will definitely go back again in the future. The breakfast in Claude’s was delicious. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and gave us recommendations for nearby restaurants and places to see. When we needed something it was taken care of immediately. It was a very relaxing and pleasant experience. The bed was really comfortable too. Proper mask-wearing and social distancing was followed.
