“Wayside Market is one of the must-stop eating places on the North Fork. The owners, Pasquale and his daughter Isabella, are truly wonderful and caring people, as is their team of great people who work there. The food is always fresh and delicious. One of the rarities in this day and age, is a family owned and run deli that still makes food on their menu from scratch and by hand with a lot of love and care. And you can taste the difference BIG time. New Yorkers can be a tough crowd to please and there's a reason why they have so many regular customers who love Wayside Market. Many people don't realize what it takes to run a business, especially in New York, where the costs are so much higher than in many other parts of the country. Come hungry and you'll leave happy. “Extremely local farm with fresh eggs and raw milk. I've been going there for my eggs for many years. Not the cheapest place around for farm fresh eggs. About a dollar or more per dozen than most places. The owners of the farm are REAL FARMERS not your backyard variety like me. Their service is good if a bit stand offish. The ambiance is small town old farm with chickens and ducks running around... laundry hanging outside to dry. Watch out for the potholes on the dirt road leading to the farm.”
