Belvedere Country Inn is a dive bar and neighborhood spot described as the best in the Catskills, where everyone feels at home. The atmosphere is refreshing, though first impressions outside can be spooky, with an almost abandoned building; guests should follow the signs to find the entrance. The contemporary American pub serves fantastic nachos with a lot of kick, yummy hot chocolate with rum, very good Mexican tacos, and really good fire propane cheese pizza. The service is casual; orders are placed at the bar. The outdoor patio and overall experience make it a great drinking and dining spot for a group of friends passing through Stamford.
