Very disappointed in the pharmacy. I called to make sure the Novavax vaccine was in stock and was told I couldn't have it. The pharmacist said she was prevented from processing the shot for me because her computer wouldn't let her since it went against CDC guidelines. Not true -

This cvs is terrible. Team members on their cell phones instead of caring for customers, members of management don’t have any knowledge of products they sell. TERRIBLE find another location . Store conditions are unorganized. Don’t waste your time .

My doctor accidentally sent my drugs to CVS so I had them fill it at this location. Tried to call several times at different times of day and no one answers to phone. Recently I went to pick up my prescription and stood in line for about 12 minutes (I was listening to music so I timed it for reference) and when I got up to the counter the young man said I should go to the consultation area and talk to the pharmacist. Went there and she said oh yeah we're getting it ready for you just wait a few minutes. Fine. Wandered around and got things I needed, paid, went back to the pharmacy. Waited in line again where two separate people randomly walked over and interrupted the cashier for help. Once he left from behind the counter to go unlock something for someone. I get that everyone kind of does everything, but when there's one person behind the pharmacy "helping" customers they should stay there. When it was finally my turn I was told the copay for my one medication was $41. I said hmm even with my insurance? He said yes. Dumb ol' me didn't check until I got home when I see they used a coupon instead of my insurance. Called up today and long story short she said the insurance they have on file says it's inactive. SO WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS?? I understand I could have spoken up, but I was so frustrated I didn't want to wait anymore. I literally have $1 to my name. No exaggeration. I can't afford to pay $40 for my drugs. That's why I have Medicaid. Get people who actually care / know what they're doing and I might consider coming back. For now I'll drive the inconvenient 20 mins to Walgreens.

Today I went to pick up my prescription and there was a miscommunication between a nice helpful pharmacist by the name of Arlene and my child's pediatrician about the dose of medication. My daughter was in the hospital with 106 fever recently and sick again past 3 days with 104 fever. This antibiotic was urgent. The baby needed this 1st dose asap and I went there straight from the doctors to pick it up. They sent it right over but she needed to confirm dose with doctor. She asked me to come back in 15-20 minutes which wound up being a few minutes before they shut for lunch. A different woman by the name of Nina came to the window, I tried to explain the situation and asked her to double check with the pharmacist before they closed. She rudely continued to talk over me repeating several times to "read the lunch sign" and cut off the microphone. As a mother, worried about her very sick child, this was so upsetting, as anyone could imagine. I went in the store when they opened and this woman Nina and I got into a very loud, heated, verbal argument where we were both yelling. During this argument she stated I belonged in the "GHETTO" with the "LOWLIVES and "HOOD RATS" Now I knew I was dealing with a racist woman and didn't want to waste anymore energy on such a person. She also said she was a mother of 5, which would make you wonder how she could be so heartless about checking on a sick child's urgent medication. Her lunch was more important. The pharmacist Arlene, was kind enough to give me her name to report and further help me get the medication as quickly as possible.

Sometimes the staff is just there they don't really help. I noticed they hire a lot of young people so that might be a big reason why. The store has definitely improved as far as appearance and cleanliness though

When RiteAid on BaySt. closed, all my prescriptions were automatically transferred to this CVS-location... for which I was thankful... initially ; now, I have my prescriptions filled via CAPSULE. In the interim before CAPSULE, I went to this CVS twice... and it took much, much too long to pay-for my items, so much so, that the first time, I just placed my items on the nearest shelf and walked-out. The second time, I waited on-line so long for the sole staff at the register... a teen-age young man; the problem was that all those self-checkout machines are so sensitive that everyone who was trying to use them... rather than stand on-line, wound-up \\\"jamming\\\" their machine, which then had to be reset by that sole young man at the register... and how he ever managed to \\\"keep his cool\\\" was unbelievable... but admirably, he did! CVS' set-up may be wonderful \\\"on-paper\\\" but it does not work efficiently in-reality... so much so that I have switched to CAPSULE. I think if customers are abandoning their purchases and walking-out of the store while others are switching to providers similar to CAPSULE, CVS needs to seriously re-examine their check-out set-up. Saving money on limited staffing at the expense of losing customers does not make good-sense business-wise.

Called at 12 asking for status of my prescription, was told it would be ready at 2. Came to pharmacy at 2:30, was told it still wasn't ready and to return in 10 minutes. After browsing for 20 I went back to the pharmacy and was told it still wasn't ready and to return in a few minutes. It was finally ready after 3. The whole store has crates all over in the aisles, appears messy and disorganized. The deodorant is locked up and you have to press a button for assistance. Despite seeing 4 workers up front not one came to help, I had to go searching for someone to help. At this point half the store is locked up and workers looked annoyed when you ask for help getting the things you need.

This has been one my pharmacy's since moving to the island. The workers are always welcoming, smiling & patient. They go above and beyond to assist their customers. I don't get rude or dismissive, but helpful & empathetic as a pharmacy should be. People come in because they are not quite 100 percent, so having good work ethic & disposition is required. Of course you get irate customers who are less than pleasant & I've seen them in action, but when you meet smiling faces, mirror that. It's all about good karma. You'll never feel like a burden visiting this CVS location. Good job, guys & keep up the good work. You are appreciated.
